Really nice and clean looking inside. It’s a pick your bowl, kind of place. Choose what kind of rice, protein, and veggies you want. I chose the white rice, but they had and interesting “purple rice,” which I was told had beans cooked with the white rice. And brown rice was another option. I chose bulgogi and crispy chicken as my protein. You pay extra after the first protein. I got most of the veggies. And I ordered the Mandoo crispy dumplings as appetizer.
Then I also discovered they have a little soup and salad bar that’s included with your purchase. It had two kinds of soups and your basic mixed salad. They had one dressing: creamy, tangy and sweet. Other sauces were in small individual containers, including bbq and spicy gochujang.
Food was good overall. Dipping sauce that came with the dumplings were really good. I mixed my bowl together with some gochujang, and it came out tasty. Chicken was really crispy. I would’ve wished for a little more sauce or flavor from the bulgogi. It was also a smaller portion compared to the chicken, but I was informed the beef was more expensive and labor intensive to prep.
Staff were really nice and helpful. I wish them luck because I plan to...
Read moreSo I’m currently going through a fried dumpling phase and came across this place on Yelp. Did not disappoint. Came in 15 min before closing to order takeout and staff was kind. Accepts apple pay so that’s a plus for me cause I’m always forgetting my wallet. I ordered a Kid’s bowl to save a couple of bucks since I knew I was getting an appetizer of dumplings anyway. Paid $15. Went home to find a complimentary house salad and soup to go with my bowl and dumplings. First I ate half of the salad to get my appetite going, then I drank all the soup, moved onto the dumplings (which were pretty good considering they had to sit in the car for about 15 mins on the way back home) and then I completely murdered the bowl. It came with a sauce that was pretty decent. I had the bugolgi bowl with brown rice, shiitake mushrooms, kimchi, bean sprouts, zucchini, spinach, and an over easy egg. (best part is toppings are unlimited). I’m a big fan of “bowl” restaurants and this was well worth it. Also satisfied my...
Read moreIt was my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was really good. I was a little turned off by the atmosphere, and the service. The lady at the front was nice, but you could tell she had too much on her plate. Having to work the counter, orders, doordash orders, and also service the tables, that is definitely too much for one person. We waited patiently, but others might not. The wait to have our order taken was kind of long, and also waiting for her to clean a table was a wait. (Again not her fault). I just think one extra person there to help her would’ve made a huge difference. We finally got a table, but we were sat right in front of a huge pile of boxes. With only one bench, so all three of us had to share one side of the table. It was not ideal, but we made it work. Seeing all of those boxes had me a little concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Again the food was really good! I enjoyed it. I just think there needs to be some...
