Big Boss is hands down the best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in a very long time! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed not only by the food but by the whole experience. Lulu took my order and was so insightful and patient with me while I asked what felt like 1,000 questions. She didn’t just stop there—she checked in on us several times throughout the meal, which made me feel really taken care of. Barry was also on point with service—bringing out my food quickly and checking in often. When I mentioned that my basil fried rice was a little too spicy for me, he immediately spoke with management and had it taken care of without hesitation. That kind of attentiveness goes a long way! The restaurant itself is a vibe—retro and eclectic, yet super clean and stylish. I also loved that they have free parking (a rare gem in the city!) and a covered patio that carries the same unique, inviting atmosphere as the inside. Plus, the whole space is so well-designed it’s perfect for photos and content—definitely Instagram-worthy! This is an experience I won’t forget, and I’ll definitely be returning soon. If you’re looking for great food, amazing service, stylish ambiance, and a photo-worthy spot—Big Boss...

So, I ate there tonight and last night. The food is terrific, fresh, hot, fast. My issue is with the service. I ordered with the same young lady, smiling, friendly. I ordered the spicy garlic chicken with rice. Wonderful. The other young lady brought me my food. She asked me if there was anything else, I said yes I asked for some water, well, she told me I had to get it myself. You know, I tip like a regular restaurant, when I purchased the order. I always do at least 20%. These young people generally work hard at a low paying job. I'm happy to help. But as I sat there, watching them play around on their phones, last night, the helpful young lady actually had time to sit down and visit with her boyfriend who came by to see her.. but the other one wouldn't even bring me a glass of water, and I tipped 20% on a $15 meal. With no visits, just dropping off the plate and ringing me up when I arrived. Just seems kind of petty to me. Again.. the food was great, I think I just will be rethinking my tip. To be refused a glass of water, that was ordered with my meal, just seems to be too much. I think management needs to do some more training and supervision if they would like to keep their...

I was in the mood for Chinese & remembered passing this place just days before. Upon entering, I loved the decor and the theme of the restaurant; it was a complete 180° from its previous tenant, Chinese Buddha. I was met by a pretty enthusiastic cashier/host, and she guided me through the menu as well as recommended some of the crowd favorites. There were so many pick-ups and delivery drivers popping in & out, I just knew I was in for a culinary delight. I WAS WRONG. I ordered Crab Rangoon (just cream cheese from what I could tell), the Chicken Egg Rolls (which had rave reviews, but were your average egg roll, maybe less), Mongolian Beef (this wasn’t terrible, but no seasoning, mostly ginger), House Fried Rice (a greasy, unseasoned mess - also, added broccoli to this dish which was a $3 up-charge for literally 3 pieces of broccoli), & Chicken Wings (again, bland, but edible with hot sauce). I spent $60 on the aforementioned items. All in all, I WOULD NOT recommend. Please do what I wish I would’ve and pass this place by (unless you want to take some...

My second time eating at Big Boss after being pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food our first time visiting a few months ago. Crab rangoons came out in a reasonable time and were very good. But then we waited for a bit - about 35 minutes before the guy who initially took our order came over to ask if we had received our food yet. Anyone who has been in a restaurant before knows that mistakes can happen. What defines a restaurant, in my view, is how they respond to those mistakes. Big Boss has a great staff. Not only did they apologize profusely, they brought out, without any prompt, an entire additional order of crab Rangoon and an entree portion of Sesame Chicken to tide us over while our food was being hastily prepared. When our entrees arrived, they were hot and as delicious as we remembered the first time. They took care to ensure we were satisfied, and we ended up very full and happy to be leaving with a few containers of delicious food (that we ate as leftovers tonight!)

A really good first experience! I ordered General Tso's Chicken, Egg drop Soup and an order of egg rolls, I was thoroughly pleased with each item. The Genera Tso's Chicken was cooked to perfection, it had a little crunch and a savory sauce. The egg drop soup was great, I added a little black pepper because that's how I prefer mine and the crispy wontons were the perfect compliment as usual. The egg rolls were fried well and weren't greasy, that's good enough for me. I'll definitely be returning soon. A few things to note. The parking is a little tricky so pay attention to the signage. Getting to the building from the parking garage is not the best experience because it is in the back of the restaurant. The interior is really dope and has a nostalgic but yet futuristic feel to it.

I lived in New York City for 8 years and missed NY style Chinese food in Atlanta. I am so happy to have found this place! The food is solid and I can tell, very fresh. The veggies are not wilted like at other places and love that everything is made to order. The eggrolls are the best I have ever tried- wow! hand rolled and made fresh! That is impressive. My go to's are General Tso, Mongolian chicken, Peking duck buns, soup dumplings, chicken lo mein, crab rangoon, pork fried rice and more. The food is outstanding and I am enjoying their new outdoor patio so much. They offer free parking- who does that anymore in-town Atlanta?!
