Lyfe ATL — Restaurant in Atlanta

Everything about this place is a NO. First off, they false advertise. They advertise free before 12 and a free drink. We went on Saturday and free line was around the corner from the door. We stood for about 15 mins and the line wasn’t moving so we went to the paid line. I tried to get the $20 ticket online which was still being sold and the girl at the door was like no you can’t get this anymore, it’s too late, it won’t scan. I know that was a damn lie. They charged $44. So when we got in, my friend asked the bar about the free drink. They said no and acted like they didn’t even know that’s what they had advertised! Also when we got in, it was literally empty, but y’all have all these people standing outside… guess when people started rolling in… after 12 (that’s the time when they start charging). So anyways, next we get a hookah… they didn’t give tongs and we asked 3 times and nobody came to assist. Lastly, most places will block off paid sections so people can’t sit there until it’s paid… they leave it open and then as people start coming and buy them, they make you get up…. That’s bad business and not a way to treat customers! Block it off! We kept being asked to move and the last time I’m like what are we supposed to do with our hookah? She said you can go stand over there by the speaker and sit it on there…. HUH? So we spent $44 to get in, $48 on hookah (that we didn’t get to use), and $15 a piece on drinks…. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!! THEY JUST GIVE RANDOM PRICES AT THE DOOR. If I could I’d give this place ZERO stars. Everyone’s attitude is terrible, the place is dirty, and it gets so hot and muggy inside. The only good thing they had was the fact there was a bathroom and a nice man selling candy upstairs. Otherwise I would not go ever again. You wait in line for hours just to play Russian roulette with the prices for entrance. I went as a group of 4 and half my group paid $20 to get in while the other half paid $44. These people are disgusting and just want to get money where they see it. You’re better off hosting your own party or finding somewhere else. I would have probably been okay if the inside was lit and worth $44, but no, it was just hot, packed, and foggy in there. This made me never want to go out and party again. I wouldn’t have even paid the price if it wasn’t for the fact that it was my homegirls birthday and I wanted to turn up with her. But out of the hours we were there the turn up lasted for a total 30-45 minutes....

Tried to book a section. I asked a few questions because of course I wanted to get some details about a section and what is allowed and not allowed. Instead of giving me some proper answers they only answered how much the section would be and what time brunch started and ended. They seemed rude, unprofessional, and money hungry. This is Atlanta and a BLACK OWNED establishment: Coming off negative will get you nowhere with my money or the entrepreneurs I was trying to bring in to support this business. I’ll take my money elsewhere and so should everyone else.

Edit: The response to my review said “illegal activities.” Lol I asked if it was 4/20 friendly since the event WAS on 4/20 since everybody smokes in Atlanta. Even the police know it and make sure establishments are safe. I asked the question twice two separate days because why would I give you my money if I can’t be comfortable.
