Rock's Chicken & Fries — Restaurant in Atlanta

Read the amazing reviews and was pretty excited to try. We were at the Lego center and looking for something quick and easy. The lady at the counter was nice, but completely disinterested. We ordered and got the food. I love hand cut fries and was looking forward to them, again based on the pictures in the reviews. Maybe we caught them on an off day, I don’t know. We ordered wings and a sandwich and fries. While we were waiting, we got some ketchup and the dispenser was empty, could only fill 1 container. Asked for more ketchup, and they went into the back and squeezed the rest of whatever was in that dispenser into some cups. I was grateful to get ketchup. When we got back to the hotel to eat, the fries were so awful. They had no salt and tasted old. They look like they were fried multiple times in the oil, especially comparing to pictures on other reviews. Went to open the ketchup, also super old. It was so vinegary and smelled sour. Just wow! Was looking for fried chicken near our hotel in Buckhead and wanted casual attire… most everything in the area was more dressy than our sports tournament attire after a long day on the courts… found this chicken place and decided to try it out. Ended up wandering around the mall to find it… turns out it’s on the 3rd floor of Phipps Plaza. The gal taking our orders was delightful. I ordered chicken and waffles, my husband got the tenders and a salad. My son had tenders and fries and my dad got a chicken sandwich and fries. Every single thing was awesome! And the sauces were great too. Then the gal behind the counter suggested we try their custard for dessert and wow… everything was great. Casual, easy and if someone in your party wants burgers or tacos they can get that next door as this is a food court style place. Highly recommend. Hope you open a store in Colorado!...

I had high expectations for this place since it got so many good reviews online. So on Sunday my boyfriend and I finally went. We had a large order and got:

20 Chicken Wings A Fried Chicken Sandwich A Four Piece Chicken Tender All with french fries.

We ordered our food to go, and after we got back to our apartment, we realized that the staff had forgotten an order of fries we paid for.

The food that we did receive was just alright, the best part of the meal was their homemade sauces, especially the bbq. The fried chicken sandwich was dry, and the skin was tough. The tenders were pretty good. The fries were good. My boyfriend said the wings were just okay.

I wouldn't go back; the food wasn't all that great for me to return and they messed up my order. But if you do go, be sure to make sure they give you everything that...
