Fourth star for daily specials and happy hour that keep me coming back. Otherwise, a perfectly cromulent corporate chain serving Mexican-American-inspired American food thrown together from building blocks. This is the kind of place where a fresh bartender might show a flash of life before being ground into a homogenous paste by the controlling restaurant group. The kind of place where your tender might make it just a little too obvious that they’re just there to punch the clock. Go on a Monday afternoon and you might get a dirty bar and a “Uh you ordered food, right? Uh what was it?” The five years that I spent in Houston make me pained to see these taco prices, but I’m just an old man dreaming about the past. I have serious doubts about the alcohol content of their cheap margarita specials 😒 but maybe I’m just a lush 😏. Tacos: 7/10 Good (gringo-azz) tacos, free of slimy grease (or homestyle juices), quality ingredients combined hastily, staged with care on a sometimes dirty bar. The fried fish and fried chicken are well-executed and the toppings and dressings are a nice addition. There’s a bit of a “building-block” feel, but, this is Mexican-American after all. Quesadilla chicken: 4/10 Clear ingredients, but short on flavor and lacking in cohesive strategy. An amalgamation of straightforward combinable parts with no grand vision further than padding out the menu. Not Tex-Mex cheese level 😔 Tot Girl Summer (Happy Hour Menu): 8/10: Unabashedly cheap and slutty and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. When you want all of the sin of food truck gnosh while being able to sit down. And it’s not particularly greasy; the fat’s more from the queso, which is good enough to make your tongue involuntarily search the last of your mouth for. The Happy Hour price can’t be beat. Guacamole: 6/10 Not the best. This is the weirdest thing — there’s not ENOUGH filler in here. The bartender immediately agreed and said that he mixes pico in it.

Are you in Downtown Atlanta looking for Mexican? Considering Superica or Little Rey? Pass on both and stop here. From the beginning, service left nothing to be desired. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar and were immediately greeted by Pretty, who understood that my friend was visiting from Chicago and proceeded to show him what ATL can do. First round of drinks included Margaritas and Mezcals. We may or may not have started a friendly competition with the staff on who could prepare the best Marg, only to find that all of them came out in spades with preparing slightly different versions of an old favorite. Chips and salsa were plentiful by this time. Their chips are perfectly seasoned, which I must say, impresses me being that so many of the "must visit" Mexican restaurants in ATL serve chips as if they're fresh out of a bag. Food followed. The tacos were generously loaded. My friend ordered the Birria tacos which included a generous portion of Au jus.I ordered the Buffalo Chicken tacos, which were filled to the brim with perfectly cooked chicken marinated in buffalo sauce, topped with carrot strips. In the meantime, Pretty continued to check on us and make conversation. By the time we finished our dinner, we took more than a few shots of Casamigos. This is bar-none one of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in ATL. Within walking distance to Arts Center Station (Marta). Plan your visit and let Pretty+Staff make your experience unforgettable.

Had a great meal at their new location. Our server was Caitlyn and she was so friendly, never hurried us and knew so much about the menu. I didn't even have to ask for no ice in my water, she was on it! She advised my hubby about the Philly taco and she was spot on! I had a skillet and she was able to get me my fried shrimp in it. It was SO good and if I ordered it again I would omit the circular chilis, it was more of them than I like but it was all so good still. Chips and salsa were nice and a great value! The bar looked nice, but we don't drink so never got anything from it. The manager Patrick, stopped by all the tables and he visited with us and chatted between tasks. He was so great!! I highly recommend this place in Midtown, so many restaurants have gone by the wayside but Tin Lizzy persists and still has great food!

We walked in and waited for over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Other people came in behind us and were also waiting. 5 people walked by us, 3 of them more than once (while making eye contact) before anyone spoke to us. Your restaurant looked steady, but not busy or understaffed. It took over 20 minutes for our first drinks. We had been sat for an HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES before our tacos came out. This was after our server came to tell us the lobster tacos I ordered were out of stock (a good 30-40 minutes after ordering). Second round of drinks took just as long. From walk in to pay, it took almost 2 and a half hours - FOR TACOS. Who is managing this place? They are clearly failing. Do better. I know it’s the south, but I used to live in the south, and it’s not this slow.

This was my first time at the Midtown Tin Lizzy’s location, and I was pleasantly surprised! It had a much cleaner and more modern look than the other Tin Lizzy’s that I have been to. Parking was a bit of a struggle since the deck they offer validation for has very limited retail parking, but we were able to find street parking a couple blocks down. We didn’t go at a very busy time and immediately got seated. Our server was friendly, and we got our food very quickly. We got the Caesar Salad and Taco Salad and enjoyed both! Compared to other Tin Lizzy’s, we felt the food quality and portions were better. I think this Tin Lizzy’s offers a great Midtown dining experience for a reasonable price. They have a lot of weekday specials, like Taco Tuesday, which I’d like to try out!

My husband and I were visiting ATL for the first time and decided on a whim to check out this spot! We didn’t regret our decision! Our server was nice, the food was hot and fresh and came out pretty quickly, and the atmosphere was refreshing.
