Fourth star for daily specials and happy hour that keep me coming back. Otherwise, a perfectly cromulent corporate chain serving Mexican-American-inspired American food thrown together from building blocks. This is the kind of place where a fresh bartender might show a flash of life before being ground into a homogenous paste by the controlling restaurant group. The kind of place where your tender might make it just a little too obvious that they’re just there to punch the clock. Go on a Monday afternoon and you might get a dirty bar and a “Uh you ordered food, right? Uh what was it?” The five years that I spent in Houston make me pained to see these taco prices, but I’m just an old man dreaming about the past. I have serious doubts about the alcohol content of their cheap margarita specials 😒 but maybe I’m just a lush 😏. Tacos: 7/10 Good (gringo-azz) tacos, free of slimy grease (or homestyle juices), quality ingredients combined hastily, staged with care on a sometimes dirty bar. The fried fish and fried chicken are well-executed and the toppings and dressings are a nice addition. There’s a bit of a “building-block” feel, but, this is Mexican-American after all. Quesadilla chicken: 4/10 Clear ingredients, but short on flavor and lacking in cohesive strategy. An amalgamation of straightforward combinable parts with no grand vision further than padding out the menu. Not Tex-Mex cheese level 😔 Tot Girl Summer (Happy Hour Menu): 8/10: Unabashedly cheap and slutty and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. When you want all of the sin of food truck gnosh while being able to sit down. And it’s not particularly greasy; the fat’s more from the queso, which is good enough to make your tongue involuntarily search the last of your mouth for. The Happy Hour price can’t be beat. Guacamole: 6/10 Not the best. This is the weirdest thing — there’s not ENOUGH filler in here. The bartender immediately agreed and said that he mixes pico in it.

Are you in Downtown Atlanta looking for Mexican? Considering Superica or Little Rey? Pass on both and stop here. From the beginning, service left nothing to be desired. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar and were immediately greeted by Pretty, who understood that my friend was visiting from Chicago and proceeded to show him what ATL can do. First round of drinks included Margaritas and Mezcals. We may or may not have started a friendly competition with the staff on who could prepare the best Marg, only to find that all of them came out in spades with preparing slightly different versions of an old favorite. Chips and salsa were plentiful by this time. Their chips are perfectly seasoned, which I must say, impresses me being that so many of the "must visit" Mexican restaurants in ATL serve chips as if they're fresh out of a bag. Food followed. The tacos were generously loaded. My friend ordered the Birria tacos which included a generous portion of Au jus.I ordered the Buffalo Chicken tacos, which were filled to the brim with perfectly cooked chicken marinated in buffalo sauce, topped with carrot strips. In the meantime, Pretty continued to check on us and make conversation. By the time we finished our dinner, we took more than a few shots of Casamigos. This is bar-none one of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in ATL. Within walking distance to Arts Center Station (Marta). Plan your visit and let Pretty+Staff make your experience unforgettable.

I walked here from the room and ordered my food at the bar It didn't seem too busy I ordered a few items chicken taco, steak tacos, fish taco and quinoa bowl. My food was ready in about an 30 mins I was getting sleepy it was a long day and didn't notice that then chicken tacos wasn't in the bag until we got all the way to the room to eat! I was not happy About having to walk back I spoke to the manager on the phone and he stated that he had asked the cook If it was in the bag why would I lie I don't want to have to walk 16 minutes at 10:45pm at night! I didn't get that at all! I told him I'm coming back and told him I had to walk back he didn't seem to care once I gotten there the taco was ready. He handed it to me with no apology or hey you want something to drink or a credit nothing he started watching television. The manager needs customer service training I won't be coming back to this location at all.

I went here on a Tuesday around 4 pm, There was only one. party a table of maybe 8 in the restaurant. We were seated given menu’s but was not asked can i start you with anything there was literally 3-4 waiters/waitresses standing at the station behind the booth looking lost , looking in our direction but not coming to our table. Mind you there was only 4 booths and we were in the third one from the station they were all standing at. I had to say excuse me is anyone going to help us for us to come. The waiter apologized and took our drink order and got us our app rather quickly. There was one waitress that i found it odd that she looked directly at us just me and my mom and my toddler and then acted like she didn’t see us. she was at the bar looking around and talking to the bartender prior to us getting help from the male waiter. My sons jacket fell and i only knew because i caught her looking down at it but she never said a thing or even tried to pick it up. As soon as another parent of 2 came in she ran over to their table to help them and to help when another party came and sat at the other booth behind us.Some of the staff neeeds better training. The bartender washes her hands then proceeded to continuously move her hair behind her ears then made a drink for someone, then she tasted sometjnt with her fingers and put the straw in a container that was on the counter ,never washing her hands proceeded to make drinks. touching everything with the same saliva fingers. The real icinf on the cake is a small crawling baby roach was crawling across the table i smashed it on my hand to stop it and called for a manager his first response was it must of come from outside ( the patio doors were closed) he says what would you like me to get to help you duh a napkin brings a napkin takes it once i wipe my hand and just says sorry and walks off. There is potential but the details are being overlooked the booth sits are filled with crumbs which is why they probably have bug issues..Tjr margaritas were tasty and the one taco i had was ok , but after that bug i didn’t want anything else.My mom had 2 tacos and said they were tasty i also ordered a kids meal and my son wouldn’t eat it it was just chicken tenders and rice it came with a pretty decent portion and included a drinks The sprite tasty nasty like the filter needs to be changed on the soda machine. I...

Title: Exemplary Bartending Skills at the Taco Place!

Review: I recently had the pleasure of visiting the taco place downtown, and I must say, the experience was made truly exceptional by the remarkable skills of their bartender, Ashton. From the moment I sat down at the bar, Ashton's professionalism and passion for mixology shone through, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Ashton's expertise in crafting cocktails was evident in every drink they prepared. Their knowledge of flavor profiles and attention to detail were remarkable. Whether it was a classic margarita or a unique concoction, Ashton's creations were nothing short of masterful. Each sip revealed a harmonious blend of ingredients, perfectly balanced and bursting with delightful flavors.

What set Ashton apart was not just their mixology prowess, but also their warm and engaging personality. They greeted patrons with a genuine smile and made everyone feel welcome. Ashton took the time to chat with customers, recommending drink pairings and providing insights into the different ingredients used. Their enthusiasm and genuine passion for their craft created a convivial atmosphere that enhanced the overall dining experience.

In addition to their exceptional bartending skills, Ashton's efficiency and attentiveness were commendable. Despite a bustling crowd, they managed to serve everyone promptly and with utmost care. Even during peak hours, Ashton remained composed and ensured that each guest received personalized attention.

It's worth mentioning that Ashton's professionalism extended beyond the bar. They displayed a deep knowledge of the menu, offering helpful suggestions and answering questions about the various taco options available. Their expertise and willingness to assist added an extra layer of satisfaction to the dining experience.

In conclusion, the taco place's bartender, Ashton, truly elevated my visit with their remarkable mixology skills, warm demeanor, and exceptional customer service. Their dedication to their craft and genuine passion for creating memorable experiences left a lasting impression. If you're looking for an outstanding bartender who can craft phenomenal cocktails while making you feel right at home, be sure to visit the taco place and ask for Ashton. You won't be...
