I have been here twice in the last two months, once for Joe Rogan and once for the Thursday night show. I have to agree with other reviewers... the one bearded bouncer is extremely rude and aggressive. During the Joe Rogan show we were more insulated and not near him but during the 5/19/22 show I laughed twice and was told not to talk. I did not talk...I laughed? at the comedian? Keep in mind this is 3 professional women, not flirting, barely drinking (we had 2 drinks each) and not talking to any other tables (most nearby were empty at that). The table runners had prompt service. I will be honest from that point on I did not enjoy the show at all not just b/c the comedians but mainly b/c I was like ?!? I better not laugh or you are told to be quiet.
Joe Rogan was decent to watch. He had some Q&A at the end of his set and a patron asked a rude question and he got all upset about it and was rude to him. I thought someone like JR would be more polished or at least used to rude people and not stoop to their level. Overall is was average B- experience....
...after the 5/19 experience though I will never go back. The drinks are not very good but I didn't think they were terribly expensive (you are downtown lol). The opening acts were terrible, the main act was terrible, the main opening act was a band something Lime. They played for like 30 minutes! It was brutal. The only good act was a funny lady that only had 5-7 minutes. The rest was slow and painful. We finally left about 10pm couldn't take anymore. The KillTony guy talked about BJs for his entire set. Don't get me wrong I can laugh at a sex joke...these weren't funny it was just boring and painful.
Just know that you cannot laugh at this show or you will be asked to not talk....?!? I am still scratching my head at this. For reference our table was never asked to leave and the bouncer did not touch us as others said. But he was quite rude, I'll be honest I am still shocked a week later lol. It was just...
Read moreWent with family for a comedy show. The comedy show gets a 10/10. The establishment was ok. After reading the reviews, it's what's expected, it's not a bad place but I can see why people would be disappointed. We got to the door at 7:30pm as the show started at 8pm. Before entering into the establishment, be prepared to show IDs, and have your phones and advanced smartwatches put into a Yondr bag. I say advanced smartwatch because I didn't need to put mine in a bag as mine isn't a fancy one that can record. Anyways, I didn't mind, I get it, no recording the show and I can stay off my phone without going crazy. You keep your phone with you in the bag at your table till you leave. Just bring it back to the door man and he let's your device free. We were sat pretty cramped at our reserved table. A tiny table for 2 with 2 more added chairs, next to more tiny tables behind and in front of us. I didn't mind, I mean stadiums do the same thing and there is no more social distancing but if you need your space, definitely not a place for you. I was practically sitting on my husband's lap with my legs on top of my sister and our party of 4 was all small framed people. The music was loud and the place was dark. Again, I get it, it's a bar on 6th street. I could not hear my server. The whole interaction with the server was no good. Our server seemed to have an attitude from "Hi." There are no drink menus, no QR code to see the menu but oh yeah, your phone is in a bag anyway! Lol. So with no menu to know what they have, you better know what you want and hopefully they have it. They don't have wines, zero sugar sodas, coors, Johnny Walker... that tells you just a few times we were told "No" while trying to guess what they actually did have. It was actually kind of comical. I ended up just getting a water. The rest of the time you are there, you are supplied with a pen and paper. If you need a drink, write it down and they will come by and grab you order. We watched the show and...
Read moreI'm 40 years old been going to shows/venues my whole life. This hands down was the worst door staff experience of any place I've ever been to.... total jerks on a huge power trip. Especially The small skinny mexican door girl and the two bouncers one stocky guy with a beard and tattoos and one skinny hipster with thick black framed buddy holly glasses. My freinds showed up.... I walked out side to greet them and walk them in. One girl screamed in excitement cause she was excited to see me and when we walked up they told us we could not enter because we were too drunk. I was 100% sober and don't even drink. The other 2 girls had a drink beforehand but were far from intoxicated . For one they sell alcohol inside which I found ironic. We talked to to police officers who confirmed they were fine and not drunk. They refused and refused to let's us in. The sad part my freind came all the way from Wisconsin to see Yheti, even had his logo tattooed on her arm. And she showed them. Sat out side and cried cause it's here all time favorite Dj. They still refused most likely because they were scared to admit they were in the wrong once they realized they weren't actually drunk at all. They literally just smirked the whole time and found it amusing to ruin our entire night. Who does that? Really. I ended up paying 30$ and had to leave with my freind empty handed. Ruined pur entire night. Lost my $ for the show, no refund and missed the entire show. Worst experience I've ever had at any venue. Id save your $ and not go here. I hope this place...
