To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a troubling experience I had during my recent visit to your establishment. On April 12th, I placed a to-go order at approximately 8:23 AM. As I waited, I couldn’t help but notice that I was the only Black patron present in the Bistro at the time.
Initially, I didn’t think much of it. However, over the next 40 minutes, I observed multiple individuals—some of whom arrived well after I had placed my order—receive their food and leave, including a couple with a baby, a group of cheerleaders, and a man with his daughter whom I briefly spoke with.
Despite my patience, I was still waiting as another wave of customers arrived and were promptly served. No one checked in with me until the cook eventually emerged and asked if I was order number 26. I informed him I was not, and that I had ordered the breakfast plate. Before I could express my concern about the extended delay, he walked away.
At that point, I was visibly upset but still trying to remain composed. When I noticed the new customers being served ahead of me, I approached the counter to request a refund. I explained to the cashier that I felt I was being discriminated against. She appeared genuinely surprised that I had not received my order after such a long wait.
While I was receiving my refund, my order was finally brought out—cold and clearly unfit to eat. I was forced to throw it away and settle for McDonald’s instead. This was my first visit to the Bistro, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.
I’m sharing this feedback not only to make you aware of my experience but to ensure no one else has to endure the same. Discrimination of any kind—whether intentional or not—should never be part of a customer’s...
Read moreStopped in to eat at LB Bistro & Bakery this morning. I walked by so many times and finally got a chance to go in. It’s a quaint little place, quiet, extremely friendly service. I ordered the English muffin sandwich on the menu outside hanging on the window and my sandwich came on a bagel instead and was nothing like the description on the menu. I would have liked to change my order if there were no English muffins however I wasn’t asked and I was presented with the bagel sandwich and I couldn’t say no and waste food. There was one person serving everyone who was very attentive but could have used a hand. This bakery is attached to the Lord Baltimore Hotel and is across the street from the Charles Street Metro Station and on several bus lines. I would definitely return, pastries in the case...
Read moreCute little bistro attached to the Lord Baltimore Hotel. I had a quick lunch here after checking out from my stay. The guy behind the counter (on 9/25 ) was SO nice and seemed genuinely happy to see me walk in. The coffee was very tasty and I ordered a BLT that was quite good as was the Caesar salad. The only weird thing was the pickle... which I always like pickles... it tasted old? There is also a nice grab-and-go case featuring sandwiches and fruits and more. The menu is very similar if not identical to the tavern in the lobby. I would consider stopping in again for...
