Set just outside the heart of downtown Bellevue, this newer location of the trendy poke restaurant has visual appeal and a zest to impress.
Staff are friendly and help guide first-timers through the busy line. Orders quickly stack up as those hungry for a quick bite order their menu favorites or try new combinations.
The only drawback to this amazing experience was the price. For a small bowl it is $12 and for a large, it will cost you $14 for a regular bowl of awesomeness. To add more value, they do have a great rewards program that has a great return value.
The value is definitely there for those looking for quick and healthy alternatives and a good quality bowl with fresh and sustainable fish options to choose from. I have friends and co-workers that swear by Just Poke, and they have a right to boast! Keep up...
Read moreThere is complimentary parking in the adjacent building, which is a nice if not conciliatory feature since Just Poke's prices are a little high. I'm not complaining; it is what it is. It's poke in downtown Bellevue. And besides, the food is good. I foolishly asked the woman behind the counter which sauce she preferred and followed her advice to get the wasabi shoyu on my bowl. It's not that I'm averse to spicy food, on the contrary I enjoy a gustatory challenge once in a while, but that wasabi shoyu was in curious competition for the unlikely record of "most unassuming ass-whopping from a behind-the-counter-girl suggestion." Once the building gets settled into, the ambiance of Just Poke will benefit, and more foot traffic will hopefully translate to more heat via warm bodies because otherwise it was cold enough to safely store poke out...
Read moreI'm giving this restaurant 3 stars, but am hoping to go back and be able to improve on this. I have a Poke place near my home that serves amazing Poke, so it's hard to beat. However, I like this place due to their options on add ins to their Poke bowls. What I dislike is how little Protein you get in your dish for the price you pay. I also didn't find their ahi to be ash fresh as other Poke places have been. I got to speak with the owner for a while last night, it was quiet when I went in to eat dinner, and she is extremely friendly and speaks well of what they have to offer. I'm hoping their portions of protein increase a little bit more the next time I go in. My favorite part of the dish is the protein! The space they are in is extremely industrial, but really cool - I'm hoping this business does very well...
