5 Stars – Hidden Gem in Beverly Hills! We were doing some Christmas shopping in Beverly Hills and decided to stay local for an early dinner. We didn’t want to fall into a tourist trap or spend a fortune, and that’s when we found Negroni. It’s in the spot where Café Gratitude used to be, and honestly, it’s such a great addition to the area! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Even though we arrived an hour and a half early for our reservation, they graciously accommodated us without a fuss. Everyone was so nice and friendly, and the hostess even stopped by during the meal to check in. It wasn’t just a quick “everything okay?”—she genuinely seemed interested in how we found Negroni and wanted to connect. Our server was an absolute dream—super sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She was incredibly attentive, making sure everything was perfect, even going out of her way to fix a slightly wobbly table. The whole staff worked together so seamlessly, and it really made the experience feel special. As for the food, everything was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The octopus was a standout, as were the crudos and everything from the raw bar. The truffle fries were good, but we might skip them next time to try something new. I’m already eyeing the steak for our next visit, and the $10 martini happy hour is calling my name. This place is definitely not a tourist trap, and I’d highly recommend it to locals in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Plus, parking in Beverly Hills is so easy with the first two hours free. Can’t wait to come back! This version keeps it casual, detailed, and enthusiastic while highlighting what makes Negroni special. Let me know if you’d like to tweak anything further!

One star is for the service. My server was friendly, and I have no complaints there. Second star is for the grilled octopus appetizer. It was cooked well and served with some potatoes that were freaking amazing. Other than that, everything else was a complete disappointment. I love truffles and this menu was loaded with truffle options, but every dish I tried left me utterly unsatisfied. I had the tuna roll with truffle and the truffle "flakes" were so small and indistinguishable they had little to no impact on the taste of the sushi. Besides the truffle, there was nothing special about this roll. Definitely nothing to justify the over $30 price tag. I also had the mushroom gnocchi with black truffle and it was just as disappointing. Not only was the truffle flavor drowned out by the sauce, the gnocchi was seared crispy on one side, which was so weird. It gave it the strangest texture, one that I did not enjoy. My fried got the seafood risotto and said it was in desperate need of seasoning and the shrimp and other seafood in it were tiny. We threw all of our leftovers away. My guess is this place specializes in socializing and cocktails. If you want good food, or truffles, skip Negroni. There's too many other better food options in Beverly Hills.

I’ve been here for dinner multiple times and can say that the quality and service has been top tier every time. I love the vibe of the restaurant as well, it’s a great date or girl dinner spot, the orange lighting makes it moody and it has an upscale feel. I would even go just to sit at the bar for a couple drinks. There’s been a dj every time I’ve gone, they play good upbeat but still chill house music, which is played at a volume loud enough to hear the song but not too loud to where you have to raise your voice The food items that I have tried so far are: ebi crab roll, shrimp bravo roll, truffle carpaccio, risotto Milanese (served with bone marrow), truffle fries, tuna tartare, calamari, rigatoni alla vodka, filet Mignon, home mama’s Milanese (breaded veal chop) and the tuna and salmon crispy rice. My favorites are the salmon and tuna crispy rice, tuna tartare, rigatoni alla vodka, filet mignon and risotto Milanese The cocktails that I’ve had are the espresso martini, a good standard espresso martini (no Baileys added) and the sunset disco margarita. Both are my favorites and I order one of each every visit! The desserts are also delicious! I have had the tiramisu, napoleon, crème brûlée (my fav) and chocolate cake

I finally need to let it sink in that most Angelenos can not differentiate good food and service from bad. I seriously do not understand the high marks for this place.

I reserved a table for a birthday dinner. The day of, I called the host(ess) to make sure that the restaurant was aware there was a birthday girl in our party, and to please bring a dessert with a candle at the end of our meal. She was rude and not in the least bit accommodating, just saying we could order whatever dessert we wanted off the menu. Duh. I explained for the umpteenth time that I wanted the candle to be a surprise, and I might not be able to communicate discreetly with our server once we arrived, so please just bring out the chocolate cake (which I had already seen on the menu), and please inform our server. Eventually, after much hemming and hawing, she reluctantly agreed she would (after she finally comprehended the ask). In case you're wondering, that never happened, and I had to ask for a candle, they had nothing to light it with, there was zero birthday acknowledgment aside from the two of us at the table...But enough of that.

The food here is all over the map. It wants to be too many things, so everything is mediocre or subpar. Is it a sushi restaurant? Italian? I've had supermarket sushi that is fresher and more appetizing. Everything is drenched in dressings, perhaps to drown out the lack of flavor or freshness. The truffle pasta didn't even have a hint of truffle flavor, and arrived cold with the cheese coagulated. I could not tell if the roasted cauliflower was actually roasted, as it was drowning in so much sauce, as was the caesar salad. There was not one item we had that I could recommend or would try again, and we had a sampling of most items.

Our server, which initially pleasant enough, literally disappeared for the entire evening after taking our order, and we had to flag down another server who was delightful, charming and accommodating.

When we did get to dessert, the tiramisu was not even palatable, and was soaking wet in some disgusting sauce (sans the birthday candle, that I had called to request ahead of time, although I had asked for the chocolate cake. At this point I didn't expect anything to be correct). When we finally flagged yet a third server down for our bill (remember, our original server went MIA), it wasn't correct. We sat in a now near empty restaurant for 25 more minutes, no exaggeration, waiting for the corrected bill.

The space itself is lovely with wonderful ambiance - the music is not too loud (most restaurants think they are a night club and you can't even hold a dinner conversation), the lighting is great, as is the people watching. It's unfortunate the food and service is so very lacking. I won't be back, and neither will my friends who accompanied me, especially the...
