Had to finally visit this place based on all the great reviews. Went there for lunch @ 1 on a Monday and ordered the Italian deli with potato salad as the side. Well, before that, I sat at the counter and the guy making the sandwiches said something, but I couldn't hear him because of the music. Then, louder, he told me that I had to order at the end of the counter. I saw another couple come in and the same thing happened. Maybe have a big sign at the end of the counter saying ORDER HERE?? Anyways, after waiting @ 15 min. my order to go came up. The sandwich was very good. Lots of meat and good bread. If it was just the sandwich, 5 stars. Based on all the reviews, I thought the potato salad was going to be awesome. Well, awesome if you love dill. Way to much dill for my taste, it overpowered everything, and I wouldn't have minded a little more sweetness. Also, my bill with a tip came to almost 19$. Good to try, but for that price I probably will not visit this establishment again. Go to MB Sandwich House on Overland for a good sandwich with a better price.

I was hoping to give this place 5 stars, but I was not a fan of the hard crusty bread. The flavor of the Bahn mi was good, not as flavorful as expected, but tasty. They toast the entire bun, so the top is crunchy… which equals hard on the roof of your mouth and messy. The Italian sandwich was same, nice flavor, but not a fan of the bread. People raved about the potato salad, but I was not prepared. It’s not a traditional mustard based, it’s super duper herby. It was okay, but not something I’d order again. Not a bad place at all, just unsure what the hype is about. Place is small, not a lot of seating, and it did take a bit to get our order. We tried the stubborn sodas, and they were lacking in syrup and were mostly carbonation, so we tossed it out. If you like super crusty bread, give it a try. It’s a good sandwich, just not my preference.

Just heard about these guys because they donated a bunch of food for a play @ Boise Contemporary Theater. I love sandwiches and I'm always on the lookout for something good and they did not disappoint. At Charly's suggestion, I had the Chicken Bahn Mi and it was awesome. Great, distinct flavors. The bread was so fresh, soft on the inside, with just a hint of crispness on the outside. Plus, they were super nice, helpful and understanding when I was having issues with my payment device. I can't wait to try the next sandwich!

I'm giving this place a one star review based on their food handling practices. After witnessing what I saw, I will never eat here again or would ever recommend anyone eat here. I came during a lunch rush so there was no seating. I ended up standing next to the register and waiting for my sandwich. While waiting, I witnessed several things that were concerning. First, the person who took my order was wearing black gloves while touching the payment screen and cash, then without changing gloves, he grabbed lettuce and placed it into peoples to go boxes. He was doing several things and not once did he change his gloves. Second, the person who was making sandwiches also wore gloves, however he swept the floor with a broom wearing the same gloves he used to make those sandwiches and after that continued to make sandwiches. Third, the meat is cooked basically on the ground in what I believe are pressure cookers. They used tongs to grab the meat and carry it up and across to the counter on the other side of where the meat is. Fourth, there was trash overfilling the bins as well as the sink in the back. There's also trash all over the ground and the tables were extremely dirty. The food might be good but the place...
