Visited this place for a family dinner since it looked nice. Our waiter Dean ruined the entire experience for us. He snuck up on us outa nowhere didn’t even introduce himself or asked how we were doing and just started listing the specials. His white top had bunch of stains on it, ZERO personality, He forgot my drink, he never brought my dessert he never came back to check on us but magically appeared when it came to pay the bill all smiles thinking he deserved a tip or something. He definitely needs more training on being a waiter specifically in this type of a restaurant. I didn’t want to go back there since first time was not a good experience but since my husband goes out there for work we decided to give it another shot. It happened to be our wedding anniversary so my husband made reservations ahead of time letting them know it was a special day for us and asked for like more private table. They made us wait forever to be seated. First they sat us in the middle of the restaurant and my husband said can we get a more private table since that’s what I asked for. The hostess little African American girl with no manners gave us a look 👀 and shook her head just started walking away to a different table we’re like are we following you or what’s happening? If this person is the first person your customers are interacting with she needs to friendly, respectful, smiling and professional. After all aren’t us customers the reason these people have jobs? So we sat down by this group of loud mouth, cussing drunks thinking they own the place. My steak was over cooked, my husbands steak was undercooked. They never even bothered to put some type of special writing on our dessert since we had told them repeatedly we were celebrating our anniversary. Overall NEVER going back there again. For the amount of $ they charge for the food and ambience they can go the extra mile of listening to the customers or making them feel special so they would actually want to go back. We gave it a shot twice and walked out disappointed both times so never again. It’s a shame because my husband goes out there for training once a month and we’re always looking for nice restaurants with good experiences to have dinner. Just thought management should know this Very...
Read moreMy friend had a reservation for his birthday at 8:15pm Saturday evening. We arrived right on time and were told it'd be 15-20 min wait which was totally fine because we were still waiting for one person in our party plus were all industry folk so we try to understand where we can. Almost an hour passes and my friend goes to check in on our table since nothing had been communicated further to us. After a manager explains they over booked themselves for the night, we finally get seated almost an hour and 15 minutes later with not one single apology. We ignore it, sit down, and our server comes over and seems frazzled so we give her some time to get situated. We put our orders in eventually and the food runner not only brings the wrong soup to someone at our table, but when she brings the correct soup over (my friend was just going to eat the incorrect soup because it wasn't worth complaining about plus it was good so who cares!) she physically took the incorrect lobster bisque away while his spoon was still dripping in soup getting all over the table then she put the correct tomato soup down and walked away. Not replacing the spoon, not apologizing, and we were mostly confused as to why his lobster bisque was confiscated from the table since it was half eaten and not like they could resell it. There were 6 of us at the table and I believe 5 of us ordered steaks which were all undercooked. Again, we didn't complain because at this point we just wanted to leave and we thought it was rather obvious we had been through the ringer even just after waiting over an hour for our RESERVED table. Oh we got that FULL $800+ tab with no comps, no apologies, nothing. Again, we're all service industry workers so we try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it was a hard dinner for us all to sit through!
Bright sides of the dinner: the server was extremely nice and had a full section so we completely understand her being frazzled. We didn't finish dinner until 11pm (when they close) and she still offered dessert and by no means rushed us out. We didn't get her name, but did want to thank her for that we were just frustrated Saturday evening after spending good money with not the quality we...
Read moreVisited Davios in Boston in the downtown area not the seaport branch as it was near our hotel when we fly into Boston from Chicago. , myself and my partner had a terrible experience and the staff are so rude and dont know how to communicate with visitors tourists from Europe. When I tried to ask the bar waitress for options on drinks, was met with a blank look on her face, food menu , not much better so I didnt place an order for food as I thought she was not interested in doing her job, she left as we were at the bar , my partner ordered food but was below par and then to top it off the bill we received was for two gentleman diners beside us. The tall bar man with the black hair was passive aggressive and leaned into my partner and moved his glasses face down and stared into her face saying , Whats the problem with the bill now. I told him he made a mistake and he could not own up to it My partner was very upset after we left and I had to leave before her and console her outside the premises. This tall bar man with the dark hair and tattoos is not customer centric and has an aggressive attitude. The Wi-Fi does not work either , savoury75 password did not work on our cellphones and to be honest I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting from Ireland or any European visitors. Decor is dated and there is no atmosphere to the place, 1 out of 5 stars. The staff dont seem to care. One lady with glasses with black hair did try to apologise about the bill mix up. Management of Davios please take on board our feedback and look at training staff in communication skills. We flew onto New York and then back to Dublin, Ireland. We ate in many establishments in the US on our 10 day trip. I have travelled to the States many times in my life time and Im sorry to report this restaurant was most disappointing. We told many people at the hotel that evening about our negative experience later that evening....
