We just celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday here. The atmosphere is AMAZING, the food was good, and everyone had a great time. The space we had was perfect for the event. However, the event was disorganized and the service was subpar. We weren’t sure when to go into the space since guests were waiting by the bar because they appeared to still be setting up. I went into the space at 5p and was told by the waitress I couldn’t and I needed to be prompted by the host, who I ultimately had to locate myself 10 minutes later. We had never been and weren’t sure how to play, and there were no darts in one of the oche’s for the first 25 minutes…which I also had to track down. Additionally, the bar was busy and many guest were waiting a long time to get a drink when I paid for open bar for 2 hours (we had 1 waitress for 22 guests and often couldn’t find her). Eventually (almost an hour into the 2 hour event) the wait staff did bring buckets of beer which was nice, but one bucket was full of the wrong kind of beer and was not what I ordered. I was told it would be swapped out and wasn’t, they just added a few more of the correct beer (that everyone was drinking) to the bucket, so they didn’t last long. Since we didn’t get going for at least 40 minutes trying to get everything set up, it felt like we didn’t have nearly enough time to enjoy the darts, which was super disappointing…the games shut off at exactly 7p and we were told to vacate immediately, that there was another reservation after. A family member asked if we could pay to keep the oche since we started late and a manager was sent over to tell us to leave, as if there was a problem (there wasn’t, it was just a question, we were not at all combative or refusing to leave). We didn’t see another party arrive for at least 40 minutes, which added to the frustration, since there were plenty of available oches in other areas that could have accommodated the small group. It would have been nice to have the food and drinks set up at the start of the event, be greeted by an event coordinator, and given instructions/assistance so we could maximize the time we had for the event. It was expensive (I paid THOUSANDS of dollars for the event) and although I absolutely loved the space, I am extremely disappointed with the service. If you’re planning an event, 2 hours is not nearly enough time given the service level and lack of...
Read moreReally nice concept but the service and food were TERRIBLE. Our waitress came to see us and would only ask one person at a time what they wanted. And then it took her forever to bring us the drinks back plus She never came to check on us unless we pressed the button to call her over and when we did that she seemed extremely annoyed and again would only ask a single person their order and not check with the rest of the group standing there staring at her. There are no tables besides the darts “side tables/row” to put your food or drinks on. So if you have a large group it’s hard to find space for everyone. A small table near the booths would be nice and convenient especially when you have 8 drinks plus food. The food took FOREVER to come out and most of it was wrong. But it was also disgusting and cold. We also had to hunt down plates napkins and silverware ourselves because when we were brought food she gave us ONE plate and ONE set of silverware for eight people (?!?!) Then we got reprimanded by someone else for placing our empty glasses and used plates on an EMPTY table - if someone had come to check on us or clear them then we wouldn’t have had to do that. How about you clear them and then go yell at the server not doing their job instead of PAYING GUESTS??. We would not have It was not busy at all and if you require reservations you know how much staff you need. If they don’t want to be there and are not happy about helping people then they should not be...
Read moreI booked a Corporate Event with Flight Club of Boston. I worked Amanda through the entire process, which was fairly simple. Ahead of the event (2 days) I reached out about our one party member that was under 21. I called Amanda to ask if this would be a problem for our party and she told me she needed to check with her GM and call me back. I never got the call back, so our EA circled back over email. No reply. We arrive, the one member of our party was not allowed in after we had repeatedly attempted to contact FC about this, (spending several thousand dollars as well). Anyways, the experience declined from there having to ask for food to be replenished for our party the entire time, them removing plates and not bringing anymore, one server for drinks for our 50-person party who was also having to help multiple other groups.
I followed-up to an email from the Sales Manager a week ago in regard to our experiences (Laura) and she did not reply.
Not really sure who is running this place, but I am pretty disappointed at the premium cost for a...
