Waterline — Restaurant in Boston

We went to Waterline for the Mother's Day brunch. It was very much of a disappointment for a number of reasons. First of all, for the price (expensive) there was not much of a selection. There weren't any pancakes, waffles, or french toast which most kids will eat & considering it was Mother's Day there were bound to be children at the brunch. Plates were not picked up after finishing soup, salad & the like so those were pushed to the center of the table upon completing those foods. Flatware was not replaced after using, which if this were the only problem I wouldn't be writing this. Forks used for dinner could have been used for dessert, for example. No one offered 2nds on coffee, water, or juice. The tip was automatically added on since we had 4 adults & 3 children which I know is done in many places. However, when there wasn't any "service" after the initial offering of coffee, juice, & water it was annoying for the tip to be automatically added to the bill.Also Waterline is very noisy if the tables are...

It would be zero. Went day after Easter. Food is underwhelming and service is one of the worst Marriot experiences I have ever had. With maybe 35 covers, staff seemed overwhelmed and useless. There were so many waiters there to.

The kitchen has no idea how to cook food or at least meat is a big problem for them. As rare = raw (yes there is a difference) and medium rare = well done.

Management at the time was unwilling to see faults of the restaurant but looked more concerned about how hip she looked in her “semi-casual: uniform blazer and sneakers.” Sorry it’s lame Marriott. Pick one not both. It’s not really a ultra modern atmosphere either.

No contact attempt has been made from hotel as per request. Poor to extremely poor experience. Would not recommend to surrounding better...

I am visiting from out of state and found this restaurant because I had a tour at 10 the menu online is NOT the menu they offer. The food was not great and the service sucked they did not ask how we wanted our steak done they kept pushing dessert after we told them no and when we mentioned that the food was not the same as online they didn’t care and the food wasn’t cooked all the way the glass I had was dirty. Very overpriced for not having a variety of food and the again the service was not good they cleaned the table while we were still sitting at it never again do not come to the waterline and then they don’t tell you they are in the hotel and there is no phone number to call. The restaurant down the street didn’t even know about...
