Honestly, the food was more than alright. I got the "Large Whale Tails". Being from Texas my standards for breakfast burritos are extremely high. It was fairly decent, the tortilla was the only thing honestly I was kinda on the fence about, and the tortilla makes or breaks whatever fills it. HOWEVER, the eggs, sausage, cheese, and bacon that filled it were damn good. They didn't have green chiles when I showed up, but the gentleman offered to sub something else into it to offset the lack of chile which was pretty awesome. My wife got "The Local" and she said it was pretty good. Which I guess means really good because it took her all of 5min to eat, tops, and she is a achingly slow eater. WHAT really gave this place 5-Stars was the service. The young guy taking our order was super friendly and super helpful and we kinda felt like locals. We showed up right as the were getting ready to close shop and he took our order without sighing without any hint of frustration at us showing up late. They were cleaning in the back and they had some music playing more than understandably and he went back and told them to turn down the music even though it wasn't offensive. He was talking to my one year old and making sounds at him making him laugh. He helped us choose something we might like and he did it in a very laid back very underrated way, even though we showed up like 5 min prior to closing. That alone impressed me. LASTLY, they had the best priced breakfast food in town. Hell, the best prices on food in town period, and it was still pretty damn good. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Breckenridge. It might be a little difficult to find just as a heads up. It has a sign above it on the building that says "The Hangar". If you're visiting Breck,...
Ā Ā Ā Read more4.5 stars. Ok this is THE spot to have breakfast in Breckenridge. They're a cute little place just off south main street. Ample parking on the back of the building, free upto 2 hours. The line to order can be long, so go early or order online (but then you won't get the experience of dining in). Loved how their menu looked. Like a starry sky with a bright star that was the menu. Even though the servers were super busy, they were kind and sweet and did not appear rude or curt at all.
We ordered the Main street small burrito with avocado, the zeiter and a side of the BreckFast potatoes. For a drink, I ordered the chai tea latte and my friend got the regular mocha latte.
The burrito, for a small, was pretty big. Loved it. It was even better with the hot sauce, and def add avocado in yours to elevate the flavor. The zeiter was very good. Just right sized patty with the egg and biscuit gravy. Very tasty.
Now the potatoes, so those are definitely the must everyone says they are. Get them to share, get them for each person, whatever you do, get them. They're delicious!! We forgot to order them with the rest of the order and they were nice enough to get it ordered later for us. Umm umm umm!!
And finally to my chai tea latte. It was freaking cold outside, the cold always makes my throat tickle and this latte was the soothing drink I needed to keep going in the cold. It's the best chai tea latte I've had and hell close to the regular Indian tea I so so love and have grown up on.
Just go here guys, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a gem in Breckinridge. We ordered the Baldy, which was a savory and perfectly crispy chicken fried steak with cheddar cheese in between two fluffy biscuits and covered in delicious sausage gravy. Absolutely wonderful!!! Also ordered the Golden nugget, which had fried chicken with cheddar cheese in between two syrup infused waffles with bits of maple bacon in the waffle mix. It was so sweet and savory a perfect twist to chicken and waffles. The bacon bits were so delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly with a crispy crust. Everything was the perfect amount of yumminess. The menu looked wonderful and we definitely had a hard time choosing between all of the options. You canāt go wrong with any of the breakfast items. Itās all day breakfast, all local and home grown ingredients with organic, gluten free, and vegan options... so there is something for everyone. The staff was extremely helpful and very hospitable. Because of Covid, they donāt have dine in at the moment, but you can sit right outside on the patio or order pickup. Definitely going to put this down as a must go to every time Iām in...
