Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Catoosa

I'm not big on fast food but when there's nothing else, I at least want the best I can find. Freddy's is relatively new to this area and so far I'm pretty impressed with it. Probably Catoosa's best. The service is good, it seems to be clean and my order comes out like it's supposed to. Their malts and shakes are quite good and they have a pretty good selection of condiments although some additional items wouldn't hurt.

There's always a lot of customers so it seems to have become a local favorite as well. They have a great menu selection and I haven't even come close to trying it all. I recommend the new jalapeño burger although I suggest you customize it according to your own taste. It comes with mayo and ketchup if you don't, and personally I find that rather disgusting especially with the jalapeño sauce and other items.

I would prefer their selection to be a bit more simple with a complete condiment bar to do it myself instead of trying to impress with their creativity, which frankly doesn't impress me. Some of their concoctions seem pretty far out there. It would be a good idea to ask about ingredients when ordering. There isnt much description on their menu, just the list of meals to choose from. I'm late in posting this but better late than never! We had an amazing experience at this location on November 21st 2021. I had called ahead and asked if they could drop 20 burgers and fries and have them ready for when we pulled in with a large group for a birthday party. I explained that we were in a hummer limo and that we only had about an hour to spend eating before we whisked off to our next location. The very kind person (Skyla I believe was her name and I think she was the manager maybe) explained that they don't do this but they would make an exception. When we got there the staff there had a table for 20 set up, fun birthday centerpieces set up and all the condiments in baskets along with cups and straws and napkins ready for our group! I did not ask for this - it was the best customer service experience I've had at a fast food type restaurant in forever! They also said they were dropping the fries as we walked in in order that all was fresh and to our liking! I was incredibly thankful that our little stop there was such a breath of fresh air! 20 teenagers walked away full, happy, and it was drama free! I'm finding it harder to write good reviews about any place these days. Customer service has absolutely eluded this place. One kid there was on top of things and made sure I was getting taken care. That was of course after waiting for several minutes for the custards I had ordered. They did not get my order correct either. The size on one of the custards was wrong and I asked for a shake, not a concrete on another item. Then, in the middle of getting the cups for my order, she stops to take a phone call and does not come back for several minutes after. Another employee after several minutes of me waiting actually had to step in to take over. Then to top it all off, I asked in a very polite manner for a carrier, to which I got no response. I guess she heard me because she came back moments later with a carrier. Again, I was very polite and said, "thank you very much". Again, being ignored. It's been over 8 years since I've stepped foot in a Dairy Queen for a similar issue. I will definitely add this place to my list of avoided...
