Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Restaurant in Clearwater

My family and I are currently vacationing in the area, and over the past five days, I’ve been visiting your coffee shop daily. I was genuinely excited to find such a cool local spot with great coffee and friendly service — until today.

Unfortunately, my experience this morning was far below the standard I’ve come to expect. I ordered my usual nitro coffee with flavor and ice (a drink that totals around $10 with tip), and I was extremely disappointed to receive it with just one ice cube. When I politely asked for more, I was met with eye rolls and was handed just two more cubes, with no effort to actually remake the drink properly.

What was even more frustrating is that I had to take off the lid myself, and while I struggled to put it back on, not one of the several employees standing nearby offered to assist — even though they weren’t busy.

I wouldn’t normally take the time to leave feedback like this, but the contrast between today’s service and the previous days was stark. I genuinely hope you’ll take a moment to review your video footage and speak with your staff about what happened this morning. Great coffee is one thing — great customer service is what keeps people...

Bad Ass Coffee is a solid stop in a pretty vanilla backdrop of Clearwater. I came excited for a light roast Kona, but there's is actually a dark roast. Not my preference but it is a solid, well balanced cup.

I came back a second time and asked for whatever their best light roast was. It was more of a medium roast but balanced and delicious.

This is not the spot for those chasing a fruity light roast but it's undeniable that they make a very quality and delicious cup.

I got their signature warm cinnamon doughnuts, negating my run, but they were worth it.

If you're staying at a hotel within walking distance, this is your best choice for coffee without getting in a car.

For me personally, it's 4/5 stars but I'm rating them 5/5 because for what they're trying to do...

I came here twice during our trip because I wanted to make sure the first time wasn’t a fluke. The customer service is very poor, and nobody greets customers or says anything when you leave. That doesnt matter to me as much as the coffee, which sadly is not great either. I got a hot bad ass mocha (figured they couldnt mess up their main coffee)… it wasnt good but I added honey and cinnamon to make it edible. It tasted like plain hot milk.
