Off The Hook CookOff The Hook Cook
After a huge disappointment leaving Frenchy's and starving, we returned to our hotel, the Pier 60 And decided to give Jimmy's crows nest a try since it was here in the hotel. We were curious as to why there was no menu listed anywhere in the hotel or online, we soon found out when we took a seat. Everything on the menu is far below sub par, just things that are heated up in the microwave. I was on the verge of being sick as I hadn't eaten all day so I decided to try the pulled pork sandwich, my family ordered a burger, cuban and the quesadilla. The only thing that was good about my meal was the bread was nice however the meat was doused in liquid smoke and barbecue sauce and obviously cooked in the microwave. It was so horrible that I nearly got sick after just one bite. The quesadilla was nothing but a dried-up tortilla and the Cuban sandwich was also inclusive of the nasty pulled pork. My nephews burger was a nuked burger, tasteless and chewy. Of course again the drinks are overpriced as was the horrible food. I went to bed so hungry that I couldn't sleep and was nauseated. We got up this morning hoping that the breakfast was going to be good as the pictures on the menu made it seem as so. Nothing special...typical bagels and coffee . The picture shows scrambled eggs and bacon, nope!! I managed to choke down a bagel as I was about to pass out from hunger. The hotel however was very clean, nice rooms and staff BUT the beds are rock hard as well as the cheap pillows.

We were here recently with a wedding party and having a great night. There were 2 staff members working the entire rooftop on the night of our visit. The lady behind the bar was amazing and was working her tail off taking care of all the people out here. The guy working kept going into the supply closet that is clearly visible from the bar area and a walk to the bathroom revealed he was smoking in there. There was another guy who went into the closet with him for a minute and then left with a drink from the closet. As the night came to an end this same guy working became verbally and physically aggressive with individuals at the bar. While I understand working with people who have been drinking can be difficult, it is never acceptable to physically touch a customer or verbally assault them. He tried pushing a guy out the door and was yelling at him and calling him names. He sounded like an elementary school bully. He needs to be retrained in how to handle intoxicated customers and how to de-escalate situations. The view up here is great but hopefully you luck out and get just the great service.

The best thing about this place is the ambiance and view. They had some island music playing in the background. The service was terrible, and this was on a Tuesday afternoon with hardly anyone at the restaurant. I asked Eli twice if he was absolutely sure he remembered our order since he was not writing anything down. He said he had a great memory, and it was all good. That's always a red flag for me. Lo and behold, he didn't put in the order for my toddler's food, and here we are with a cranky and hungry child to try to finish out our beach day visit. The resolution offered for the mistake? "I won't charge you for them." Well of course you won't charge me for something I didn't receive...that's called fraud. The food itself was just okay. The burger was dry and looked like something served for elementary school lunch. The pork bowl was good, as were the fish tacos. The chips and queso and buffalo chicken dip were also good. I would not come back here again. Parking is $20 and they do not validate. There are much better places in the area to eat with way, way better service.

Place was beautiful but I wish the service hadnt been so horrible. I was there on vacation this weekend and decided to go by yesterday. We waited for a table and while we waited my boyfriend ordered me a drink from the bar. First of all the bartender took forever to attend us, my boyfriend's license was expired and he told us he couldn't serve him, cool rules are rules, then with an attitude he warns him if he sees him drinking from my cup we get kicked out, not a child and on vacation not trying to get attitude from no one. Cool so we sat, the blonde girl in charge of table never came by to even ask if we were interested in eating, we grabbed our own menus, called her over, had to ask her to clean our dirty table even though we cleared it ourselves in order to sit. Meanwhile bartender let's her know to be careful because my boyfriends license is expired incase he wanted to order a drink, again we are over our 30s we are not kids and simply on vacation trying to have a good time he made sure he was loud enough so we could hear him or simply didnt care if we did. Anyways I wish he was just as worried about his cocktails coming out right than he was about my table. I threw out my drink it was horrible. View is amazingly beautiful, such a beautiful spot spoiled by people who cant provide good service instead they are lazy and have an attitude. Horrible experience and for a place that sits on top of a hotel where people stay while on vacation I would of expected better luckly there's more places like these or even better. If your in the service industry the least thing you can do is have a good attitude, like that people go back. Other than that they...

My friend and I went there yesterday and we love the place. We love the food, the drinks, and the view is gorgeous. But the service from our server was really bad. My friend and I are both servers and we understand the difficulties of the job especially in a pandemic. But when you don’t take the time to introduce yourself or spend 2 seconds talking to your customers, that sucks. Couldn’t even tell you her name because she didn’t tell us. First thing she said at the table was “can I get you your drinks?” And we were talking about the rum buckets and she said ok and walked away. My friend and I were like uhhh ok thanks? Then she came back a little later and asked what we wanted to eat and we told her that we wanted burgers and she asked us about additions and it just felt really rushed. Not to mention, she walked away before my friend was even finished with ordering. After we finished our food, she came back holding the check but asked if we wanted anything else, which we did want more stuff. But again, we felt like we were being rushed. Later when we got our checks, we noticed we were charged for cheese on a cheese burger???? Is that a thing? Overall, we love the place and would come back. and we always tell people to go there at our place of work as well. But if I knew the server’s name, I would tell people to stay away from her. But I can’t because I don’t know it. Someone tell her bonding with customers is an important...
