They have the worst customer service. I’ve been in this place about three times ( more than I should ) and each time the young lady has the worst attitude ever. I’m typing this as I’ve just left them 5 mins ago. I don’t know what it is but today was my last straw with her, I chalked it up to a bad day the first time and maybe even the second but the third time is now an issue. She rang me up and pointed to the card tap, I was paying cash so I asked her to tell me how much do I owe. I don’t think I should have to do that. You guys need to get her funky attitude in check because that’s not right at all. Especially being in the front and the person to ring folks out. That’s probably why the food is mid at best because everyone just had a bad attitude and in a rush. Put some love in your business and serving the people and maybe your food will be top notch. Because Greek food is actually very good. I’ve only been three times because it’s near my job but if it wasn’t the first time would probably be the last because I don’t like bad customer service especially when it comes to my food....
Read moreA friend who used to work, many years ago, at my favorite Greek restaurant near the OSU campus [where I had eaten for longer than twenty years] now works in downtown Columbus. We ran into each other recently; he recommended during our brief conversation that I eat at Elia Athenian Grill the next time when I am in downtown Columbus during the lunch hour. I ate at Elia Athenian Grill today [12-6-2018]; I am very glad that I did.
Ordering your meal at Elia Athenian Grill involves making several important choices.
You choose a "base," a "sauce," a "protein," toppings," and "dressings" to create your own "gyro," "salad," or "bowl"; there are also several "sides" with which you may complete your meal.
I decided to order "The Authentic" sandwich, the item on the menu that had appeared to be the most similar to the gyros that I remember from over the years that had been served at that OSU-area Greek restaurant.
"The Authentic" sandwich includes fries; however, what that means is that a few fries are placed into the sandwich. It is also possible to order a "side...

The food is always fresh. Sad day when they shut down the campus location and went downtown only. I could walk three blocks when they had the campus location. However, lunch around noon-1230 gets PACKED now. But their employees work very fast, but attentively.
I always get a make your own bowl. Loaded with power greens and nearly every veggie item they have. Always get the chicken kabob as my protein option. Their hummus and sauces/dressings are to die for.
Prices are oddly low. Been going there for nearly seven years now and will happily continue. A genuine joy in serving folks, always fresh, always delicious, low prices and the place is always spotless clean.
**Side note: I admire the dignity in which the manager and employees treat homeless folks who come in. Just a caveat. But they always treat them with warmth and respect whereas most...
