Unfortunately, I can't attest to the food because we never got that far. 3 of us went in today and walked right up to the counter, the cashier area has a LARGE open window into the kitchen where everyone on both sides can clearly see each other (also this place is not big at all - it's very clear when there are customers waiting even if back in the kitchen). Two employees were in kitchen (no one in the cashier area which again would be fine if they bothered to look up to check now and then if someone is waiting)- one employee was doing dishes with her back turned to the cashier area and the other person was talking to her. I could see how perhaps the girl doing the dishes couldn't hear us with the sink running, however one would think she would turn around every so often to make sure there weren't any customers waiting. The person talking, who looked to be perhaps the food preparer, meaning that maybe he didn't run the cash register but he looked RIGHT AT ME making eye contact, then looked away, continuing to talk to his coworker not acknowledging us in any way by saying "hello someone will be right with you" or letting his coworker know she had customers waiting. As that was happening another customer walked in and we were all just standing there. The employees continued with their personal conversation. Finally all of us (including the guy who wasn't even our party) started walking out and said "Well thanks!" and as we are leaving, a girl sitting at the counter by the entrance with her back turned to everything stopped us and said "Oh do you guys want served?" Uh...... well we weren't just standing there for our health? She then said "I'm on my lunch, but I'm happy to take your order." Well it was too late by then. I want to clarify that she has every right to be on her lunch break, but then the people who are still on the clock behind the counter need to pay attention to customers coming in. I mostly blame the food preparer in the back who looked right at us and didn't bother to say a word - it was SO rude. This is a bakery downtown meaning that on a weekday, the people stopping in are most likely working and need to be waited on in a timely manner so they can get back to the office. The place itself has a cute vibe but this kind of stuff that happened today are the exact things that eventually cause a business...
Read moreAlllll the stars for Three Bites!! When my husband and I got engaged, one of our first conversations was about the importance of finding a delicious cake. We love supporting our local bakeries and started our Official Search for the perfect flavor and style. All I can say is we wish we had found Three Bites long before our wedding. All of their pastries (sweet and savory) are awesome and have unique cultural influences. When we approached Isabella with a challenge, she was excited and motivated to bring our vision to life. We had 15 small cakes at our wedding, one on each guest table, as well as a two-tiered cake for ourselves & the bridal party. Our guests were IN LOVE with the concept, as they got the chance to cut the cake with us on our special day. And the flavor!! For our October wedding, we chose Isa's fall spice cake with honey buttercream frosting and a spiced fig jam. Absolutely incredible and though the flavors were unique, they were a total crowd-pleaser. Hire Three Bites for your events, and go to her shop for all of the...
Read moreWe love love loved our wedding cake from Three Bites Bakery! We ordered one of the winter flavors - Yuanyuang - that we fell in love with after tasting it in one of her cake tasting boxes. We wanted to do something special & different than just a traditional cake flavor, and the Yuanyuang was it! It was a light coffee/tea flavor, and the cake was moist, flavorful, and DELICIOUS. It was decorated beautifully, and all of our guests remarked about how gorgeous it was. We had a great experience with Three Bites Bakery, all of the flavors we tasted were very tasty and unique. Isabella was great to work with, she was very flexible in our pick-up time and instructions to make sure the cake was stored properly, and she made sure to check in after the wedding to be sure everything was perfect. I'd definitely recommend a cake from Three Bites Bakery, and can't wait to eat more delicious...
