Step into Ginger’s for an elevated experience. The generously illuminated wooded staircase transports you to their contemporary lounge with a simplistic, and cozy design. This quaint space, manages to accommodate various seating options for their diverse clientele, from the wonderfully stocked bar with friendly bartenders mixing signature cocktails to both booth and lounge seating attended by attentive staff and management. Depending on the day and time you choose to enjoy Ginger’s your experience can range from a super chill happy hour or weekday experience to a full blown party vibe on the weekends. Although I believe grownups should know how to dress when they go to nice places, Ginger’s is more relaxed (up to a point) with their dress code; yes they’re connected to Sushi Bar, however that’s a separate dining experience (I’ll share my review of that independently) if you’re a person who would rather not splurge on cocktails, this may not be the place for you, because their prices are a few dollars more than similar options in the area, however the ambiance makes the extra expense worth it, and they do offer some less expensive beverage options. Parking is easy thanks to valet and a public lot only steps away. Sharing is Caring! So I’ll share; if you’re looking to have a quiet evening definitely enjoy Ginger’s during the week because the weekends gets a little to loud for that! If you see me there, say hello!...
Read morewe came saturday night and the interior was beautiful but the bartender was incredibly rude. the bar seats are huge and its so hard to squeeze through to make an order at the bar, so i was already getting dirty looks by just trying to make an order. mind you my friend and i had already been standing for well over 15 minutes in uncomfortable heels before the bartender even acknowledged our existence and kept serving people who came in after us. and then when we finally put in our orders he gave us THE WORST attitude ive ever gotten from a bartender because i interrupted his conversation with people who had seats at the bar. sorry dude but its a saturday night and youve served everyone who came here after us and prioritized chit chatting with people who were SEATED mind you, and already had drinks. its a beautiful place but the layout and service needs to be more suited for having more people on the weekend. do better. i get it, we look young and we look like we may not tip as much but i promise it would have been a fat tip if we got an ounce of respect. it almost ruined our night before we decided to go elsewhere. the vibes were very unfriendly and ive never been ignored for that long at even the...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at Jack and Ginger’s in Austin, and it was all thanks to the incredible bartender, Ryann! From the moment I sat down, Ryann’s warm smile and vibrant energy made me feel right at home. She’s a true pro behind the bar—whipping up creative, perfectly balanced cocktails with a flair that’s both impressive and effortless. I tried her signature margarita, and it was hands-down the best I’ve had in Austin, with just the right kick of spice and a refreshing twist.
Ryann’s knowledge of the drink menu is unmatched, and she took the time to recommend options based on my tastes, even suggesting a few off-menu creations that were pure genius. Beyond her mixology skills, she’s an absolute delight to chat with—engaging, witty, and genuinely interested in making sure every guest has a great time. She kept the vibe lively yet relaxed, seamlessly juggling a busy bar while making everyone feel like a VIP.
Jack and Ginger’s is lucky to have Ryann, and she’s the reason I’ll be back ASAP. If you’re in Austin, do yourself a favor and grab a drink from her—you won’t be disappointed! Five stars...
