Buffalo Restaurant & Saloon — Restaurant in Deadwood

While on vacation here with my family and our friend's at the end of July 2017, I ordered noodles for my 3-year-old. There was not mac and cheese on the kid’s menu and that is essentially what my kid wanted. While there was no mention of this being charged as a full adult meal, and she was 3, I made the mistake of assuming noodles for a child would be charged for as a kid’s meal. I was charged for an ADULT CHICKEN ALFREDO $13!! I asked the waitress if there was a mistake who spoke to her manager, and he/she insisted since this was a 'special' meal I would be charged for the full Alfredo meal. I have worked in several restaurants in my life and would NEVER have charged someone $13.00 for NOODLES! Especially for a young child! Horrible customer service. This place left me feeling ripped off plain and simple. I don't typically write reviews but figured this place deserved a less than stellar review. Went during the rally and waited for an hour and 30 min for a table. We didn’t mind at all since we just gambled until our table was ready. When being seated the host told us it will be awhile since our server was really busy. We still didn’t mind but having waited a long time already we were ready to order drinks and apps when he finally came to the table. When my husband tried to order 3 apps with the drinks our server told us “no only drinks now” he refused to take our app order. We then waited another 10 min and when our drinks still hadn’t come we just left. While we understand how busy it is during rally it still doesn’t excuse the rudeness of servers. Disappointed, but after taking to another group of friends that had just went there they said they experienced rude service and bad food there...

I ordered a medium to rare steak it came out well done and I mean done. Another steak at my table was more red than mine at medium. Also my baked potato was cold and hard couldn't melt butter to soften it nor adding sour cream. I left the steak on the table with rare sticker which was placed in it when brought to table. Didn't get to say anything about it because table didn't want to make a scene another person paid for it, myself wouldn't have and would have asked to make it right that isn't causing a scene to get what you ask for. When going I really had high hopes for a good meal. I got a salad in a small cafeteria bowl and that was about what I had for lunch that day.
