Update as of 11/7/2025 I did recieve an email on 10-7-2025 apologizing for the delay on sizing the ring I purchased late July/early August. Annie asked if I wanted something custom or just the ring that I had purchased sized and sent. At this point, I asked to have the original ring sized and sent to the address I provided when purchasing in the summer. She said she "should hopefully have the ring back by the end of the week or the first part of the week" and that "I will have someone get it out to you as soon as it arrives as I will still be out". She then stated that she lost the address that I gave her on the day of the original purchase so I gave that to her again.
On 10-22-2025, I got a text message stating that she was still waiting on her artist for the ring back.
My friend still does not have the ring as of today.
I did file a BBB claim against them and I did recieve an email from the BBB on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 stating that the business would not return their correspondence.

I visited the store during the rally (late July/early August). I bought 2 rings from them for myself and had great customer service. I returned the first week of August for a 3rd time to get a few gifts for friends and family before heading home.
I found a ring for a friend and guessed at the size and bought it. Before paying for it, I asked if the ring could be sized if it didn't fit, they assured me they could. Perfect. Transaction made.
Turns out the ring was too small for my friend so her and I returned to the store to get the correct size for her. I was told that "the designer" was going to be back in the studio in a week. Fine. There wasn't any hurry. I had paid for it and arranged for the ring to be shipped to my friends house upon completion.
A few weeks went by and I didn't hear anything from them. I reached out via text and email and got a response saying that there was a family emergency and they would be back in the studio on September 3rd at which time, they would reach out to me and talk about sizing and possible custom piece. Fine. I get things happen and I was more than happy to wait. I emailed them on September 3rd and again on September 17th and now it is October 6th and still have not heard anything from them.
I have went as far as filing a better business bureau complaint against them. I did hear back from the BBB only to find out they cannot get ahold of them either.
At this point, all I want is my money back. Buyer beware if you are leaving a piece of jewelry to be sized or custom made, you may not ever get it back. Shopping in the store is fine but I am out about $100. There are plenty of other places that sell turquoise jewelry around the black hills. Seek them out before...

Recently my sister and I visited the store and purchased a beautiful Native American knife for our father and a turquoise bracelet for our stepmother. Each item was a huge hit with the family. Our parents were truly shocked with the details of their respective items and how sturdy they were.
Customer service throughout our transactions over the years have always been pleasant, and we honestly love going into this store. The employees take their time talking with customers and getting to know each one of them. The employees also seem to genuinely enjoy working at Dakota Sky Stone.

The guy took the stone out and gave it to me and kept the ring and said it would be 2 weeks. It's been 5 weeks-I called left a message-no response. I sent an email- no response. Update-it took 7 weeks (was told 2) to get my ring back. I had a new stone put in a ring I already had. The stone is absolutely beautiful and it looks like a completely different ring. Happy with the work. 2nd update-day after I got the ring the stone fell out!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
