Taco John's — Restaurant in Deadwood

The food (the items we actually recieved) was absolutely delicious, but the customer service is severely lacking. We were missing 2 burritos from our order, and I when I tried to call, the gentleman who answered the phone was extremely rude. He proceeded to tell me that we didn't order any burritos, and cut me off when I was trying to clarify. I think he had us confused with someone else, which is understandable as they were busy. However, to be so rude and not even try to address the issue really surprised me and turned me off to the restaurant altogether. We had everything else, including the drink that was supposed to come with the burrito combo, but the burritos themselves were missing. To be basically called a liar, and hung up on was unacceptable. We came in from out of town and there were not a lot of options during Corona to remain safe. We decided this would be a good option for a quick get-and-go we were wrong. None of the staff is wearing masks and we are in mid covid19. I made my purchase and my sister was behind me and her card did not go through. The girl was trying to be nice and asked for a different card however we are both from different states and neither of our cards worked we try to third from another person and it also failed and the boy in charge stated it was somehow our cards that were the problem. Obviously that was wrong we asked them to reset the credit card system he had a little bit of attitude. almost every fountain drink was empty except for the lemonade. Went inside to order to-go. Agree with other review(s) suggesting how cold it was, but we were not in there long. We found the group of gentlemen working to be very helpful and appreciate that they took their time to get the order right.

We did not use the restroom, so there is no comment there.

Only other blemish was not being able to order the Boss Chicken, being they were out of some ingredients. We didn't intend to order beverages, but the gentlemen disclosed ahead of our order that they were out of carbonation.

Otherwise, the food was as we expected from a Taco John's without anything to otherwise call-out.

Overall assessment... not perfect but met our needs and would...
