I read the reviews for this place and had to try it on my visit to Denver (I’m from Maryland). Everyone who was in line was also from different states - and everyone was impressed when the food was finished.
My family (five of us, including 3 kids under 12) got two orders of the chicken Pad Thai and two orders of the chicken fried rice. One order of the Pad Thai was medium spicy level. Everything else was mild. Medium had some kick to it, but wasn’t too spicy to enjoy it. If you enjoy really spicy, I would suggest going with the hot or Thai spicy level.
One thing - he mixed up my order. He gave us a fried rice, instead of the drunken noodles. He was working so hard and felt sorry about it, and there was a longer line forming, so it wasn’t too big of a deal. Food was still super good.
He was working hard. I don’t know how he does, but he puts out delicious food in a timely manner. If there is a line, you will have to wait longer than at a normal food truck, but the food is worth the wait.
The portions are plenty - we had leftovers - and the prices are definite fair and the food is amazing.
I will definitely come back if I’m ever in the area.
UPDATE: I came back on 8/13/25. Drove out of our way to try Liang’s again. Got the tofu pad Thai, chicken pad Thai, and the drunken noodles. My wife’s favorite food is Thai, and none of the dishes disappointed, even when going in with high expectations. Food was hot (temp-wise) and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic Thai food in downtown Denver, you need to check out Liang’s Thai Food on 16th Street in Weltman. It’s a small booth tucked into a grassy area with other food stands, and honestly, it’s one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried.
Here’s what makes it special: there’s literally one person running the entire operation. He cooks your food, serves it, and handles payment—all by himself. I showed up during the lunch rush, and I was amazed at how fast he worked. Orders kept coming in, but he knocked them out one after another without breaking a sweat.
I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and asked for them spicy. Let me tell you, they actually delivered on the spice. My nose was running, my eyes watered a little, but I couldn’t stop eating. The flavor was incredible. The vegetables tasted fresh and crisp, and you could tell he uses quality ingredients. Everything just tasted real and homemade.
The best part? It only cost $13. That’s a solid deal for the portion size and quality you get.
A couple things to know: they only take cash, so come prepared. But the setup is actually perfect for a nice day. There are little tables outside where you can sit and eat. I got lucky with beautiful weather, so I enjoyed my meal in the sunshine.
If you’re in downtown Denver and craving Thai food, skip the fancy restaurants and find Liang’s Thai Food. It’s simple, it’s authentic, and it’s delicious. You won’t regret...
Read moreI love Thai food and immediately noticed this cart in the 16th street mall in downtown Denver. As a tourist, I was intrigued. Every time we walked by, there was line, so I knew I needed to stop here. I haven’t eaten Thai Fiid all around the US, from the east coast to west… so I actually didn’t have too many expectations… but I was not disappointed at all.
I finally decided to stop by to grab dinner. A local convinced that this was the place to get thai. I got the Drunken Noodle w Chicken, Thai Spicy, and this is easily the best Drunken Noodle that I have ever had. He definitely hit the mark w making it Thai Spicy. It was absolutely amazing. Just the right amount of veggies… just the right amount of noodles… just the right amount of chicken. It was awesome.
The food is cooked fresh right in front of you. The staff is awesome. The portions are more than generous and the prices are VERY reasonable.
I would eat here everyday if I could…/ Sooooo good. Thank...
