I don’t usually write long reviews, but our experience at My Brother’s Bar in Denver absolutely deserves one — especially after how incredibly they treated us during a really special occasion. We came in to celebrate my best friend’s 35th birthday, and this year was particularly meaningful because he’s paralyzed and doesn’t always feel comfortable going out to new places. But from the moment we walked in, everything just felt right.
First and foremost, a massive shoutout to our server Miguel — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Miguel was kind, attentive, and thoughtful in ways that went beyond just being a good server. He made sure my friend was comfortable, helped us find seating that worked for his wheelchair without making a big deal of it, and constantly checked in with a great attitude and genuine care. You can’t teach that kind of hospitality — it’s just who Miguel is, and it made all the difference.
The vibe at My Brother’s Bar is one-of-a-kind. It’s the kind of place with real character — nothing fake or trendy, just good energy, welcoming people, and a laid-back environment that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. The history on the walls, the deep wood decor, and the old-school feel make it feel like a piece of Denver you never want to let go of. We sat inside and then hung out on the patio for a while, and both had their own charm.
Now let’s talk food: unreal. I ordered the JCB (Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger) and it was out of this world — juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of heat. The condiment tray they bring to every table is such a fun touch — it lets you totally customize your burger and makes the meal feel even more personal. The onion rings were crispy perfection, and the beer was cold and refreshing — everything we hoped for. Miguel had some killer suggestions that ended up being our favorites of the night.
But what really stuck with me — and my friend — was how comfortable the experience was. It’s not always easy finding a place that’s both wheelchair-accessible and genuinely welcoming, but My Brother’s Bar nailed it. No awkwardness, no stares, just great service and great vibes. For my friend to say it was one of the best birthdays he’s had in a long time? That meant everything.
So if you’re in Denver — whether you’re a local or just passing through — do yourself a favor and stop in at My Brother’s Bar. Ask for Miguel if you can. Come hungry, bring friends, and expect to leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. We’ll...
Read moreI want to share my experience at your establishment last evening. It was my first time there and I was there to join a Meetup group for the first time as well. I asked our waiter if he would recommend the pastrami and swiss sandwich. He said it was very good, and he would recommend it. I ordered the sandwich along with a small fry. A little while later the sandwich and fries were brought out. The sandwich, although for dine-in, was wrapped in paper. The fries were in a 4"x2"x1" paper basket (10-15 fries). I opened the sandwich and took a bite. Then I looked down at my feet to see if I was missing a shoe. The pastrami was cut very thick and likely cut with the grain (not against it). I tried again but could not tear through it. I called the waiter over and informed him of the poor quality of the sandwich. He apologized and said that he would remove it from the bill, which he did. A few minutes later he returned and presented me with a bill for $4+ for the fries. I was shocked, but didn't say anything. I ordered the fries, and I ate the fries. So, I didn't think it would be right to not pay. But as a matter of customer courtesy and in an attempt to make a bad situation better, I thought the waiter would have comp'd the fries. If he had, I'd be giving your establishment another chance. But the food was bad and the service...
Read moreBeautiful area, close to the aquarium, and walking distance to some stores. Other than that I will never return or recommend this restaurant. Right now with COVID we thought it would be good to go on a not so busy day so that we could fill one of the empty tables at a local restaurant. Well unfortunately that cost 93bucks for a lesson of sticking to what you know. Spent 93 at Wendys and would have been happier than the service and the food we got. The burgers were sloppy and tasted like they was prepared in the morning and kept in a warmer. We took a recommend drink and when no one at the table could bare to take a full sip without spitting it out we decided to get a different drink. They finally came to take our order we finished ordering and then i realized they have Bison so i changed my normal beef burger to a bison (note that is 19$ compared to 12$) when it finally arrived after around 45 mins my burger had the exact same texture, taste, and look as my sisters who got just the regular. The service was mediocre for the hype about the place. (Also to note the 13 dollar drink no one could bare to drink was also charged to me) Very bad customer service!...
