Great coffee shop and remote working spot. *However, I’ve only been coming here for about a month and they consistently have Wi-Fi issues. As a remote worker, this is not something that can be hit or miss. Myself and other remote workers have ended up having to leave because of the Internet. however, outside of the Wi-Fi issues, its a good spot
** in response to the owner comment, this rating reflects my overall experience. As a remote worker, reliable internet is essential, and over the past month, I’ve stopped in five times—on four of those visits, the internet either wasn’t working or cut out, forcing me to leave. I’ve also seen other patrons leave for the same reason, and when I asked, they confirmed this is a recurring issue.
I understand that Wi-Fi issues happen, but four times in one month is excessive. Rather than acknowledging the problem and addressing how it impacts customers, your response reframed the issue by shifting the focus to the quality of your food, drinks, and the challenges of running a small business. I respect and appreciate the effort that goes into those things, and I agree they’re important. However, if remote workers are part of your customer base, reliable internet is also a key part of the experience. Your response also framed the Wi-Fi as a complimentary service, suggesting it shouldn’t be a major factor in my experience. However, for those of us who rely on a stable connection to work, it’s not just a bonus—it’s a necessity.
I didn’t originally plan to leave this in a review, but since we’re having this conversation, I want to mention that I’ve brought this up to staff before, and it was brushed off. The last time it happened, I politely let the barista know, and the response I got was a snarky “Thanks, friend”—no acknowledgment, no “We’ll check on it,” no apology. And I’m not the only customer frustrated by it.
I’ve only been coming here for a month; I imagine long-time patrons are even more frustrated. Internet issues at a remote-friendly café are sometimes inevitable, but when they happen this frequently and are dismissed so casually, they become a real problem. This rating reflects my entire experience—not just the coffee, food, and atmosphere, but also the reliability of the space as a...
Read moreBeautiful new location by one of the premier craft roasters in the Denver Metropolitan area! Everything you know & love about Red Silo Arvada & Golden is now available to the LoHi neighborhood! Tasty homemade pastries and an excellent cup of coffee, all with friendly customer service to boot!
One of my favorite things about this location, that differs from their other locations, is that they offer breakfast burritos from Spruce - a local business out of Boulder. I had the sausage burrito & it was delightful - fluffy scrambled eggs, refried beans, potatoes & plenty of sausage - YUM! I love that Red Silo partners with and supports other Colorado small businesses!
I also enjoyed a refreshing Iced Americano featuring beans sourced all the way from the Huila department of Colombia. I tasted notes of juicy peach and smooth milk chocolate! Simply delish!
If you are a resident of LoHi, look no further - you have found your next favorite coffee shop! If you are visitor of the Denver area, I highly recommend making a stop as it will certainly be a highlight...
Read moreI often stop by the shop on my morning walk, three times this week. The service has never impressed me, but the convenience and pastries have. This morning my wife and I went in, I got a pastry and a glass of iced tea. My wife got her typical burrito and coffee which she likes very much. My iced tea glass was packed with ice, to the point I got 3 to 5 sips from it. When I went back to show the lady the ice and asked for a refill. She said the owners don’t allow us to give fee refills. I asked if the owners knew how much ice she put in the cup. She said, well I’m not giving you a refill. And proceeded to ask me what she could do to satisfy me, which I said, give me a free refill, that she refused to do. I told her I come here often, but would not be coming back again, which she had no response. I wish I knew how to download the picture I took so you could see that I am not exaggerating. Being a business owner, I had immediate sympathy for the owner, knowing this lady who can be rude, is running off business and in this case over five cents...
