I love ClassPass because I can take a bunch of different barre classes from all over Denver and this one had great reviews so I was eager to try. signed up for 3 classes at Denver Barre Collective at the same time for the next upcoming days. I came 10 minutes early today to the 10:30 trampoline barre class and had a smile on my face because I was now prepared for the aggressive style of teaching with the same instructor from the day before, but she pushed her palm in my face when I entered the door. She said she emailed me a few minutes before class (mind you city driving and parking for me) that she didn’t like my review from yesterday and so I’m not allowed into class today and if I tried to stay she’d call the cops. I asked if she could explain more she said “I didn’t do 1,000 reps that’s inaccurate” and that’s not what I said either but then she started recording me and so I got my phone out to protect myself since she’s threatening cops. She calls the cops but they never came, her lips were pushed out as far as her ego pursed on her high horse today. It’s sad when you use your status to put other people down. Crazy the world we live in after 2020, I’ve heard it called status anxiety today and that seems fitting. My brain was just looking out for other people like me who would have liked to know my ClassPass review I wrote. Regardless she never gave me the respect to say to my face whatever was in her email I posted which was vague and another who trip. She had her assistant who previously said she didn’t want to “be in the middle of it” be the one to address it with me outside because she could give two minutes of her time to authentically communicate what her issue was with me herself. She was anything but professional and it’s unfortunate she subjects so many people to her narcissistic behavior.
Maybe she was triggered by her ego and from unattended wounds that she’s projecting onto me by rejecting and avoiding me as a CLIENT along with other clients who share honest preparation notes with fellow community members, idk but this ego confrontation was a challenge to...
Read moreThe workouts were decent, the teacher did a good job of keeping the class upbeat and challenging.
Unfortunately, I experienced very poor customer service. I emailed the studio regarding a concern of the studio being closed for multiple days rendering the new client unlimited month special useless for me. I never received a reply. I emailed again. I called multiple times and left two voicemails. I finally got a hold of them after calling AGAIN weeks later before a class in which a woman named Sarah was incredibly defensive explaining that they responded to my initial email (despite me never receiving it- I checked every folder in my email). After explaining that I never received it, and asking why they didn't follow-up with me after receiving my second email and two voicemails making it clear I didn't receive their message- she was annoyed, unapologetic, rude, and told me they extended my month - what more do I want?
I would rather use my money to support a small studio in the area that takes responsibility for communicating with their clients, especially new ones. I did not use the rest of my unlimited month and would not recommend this...
Read moreBarre Forte is conveniently located for anyone living in lohi or downtown. I love going there because of the location, the schedule and the facility. It’s a small but nice workout space and the classes I’ve been to have never been over-crowded. The class times work perfectly for anyone working a 9-5 job- I love the barre express classes (40 minutes vs. the normal hour). The teachers are really great- all very knowledgeable and will give you tips on how to make moves easier/harder as well as adjust your actions without being overly aggressive/touchy. The classes are always different, which is nice because they somehow also always seem to work the same muscles- you will shake during some classes (in the best possible way!) and leave sore. My only complaint is the music. I don’t think the moves always go to the tempo making it harder to keep up, and the music is either way too quiet or way too loud. Would love better music for the AM classes as they are hard to get into at 6am. Would also love to see some more ab work in the classes although I acknowledge the point of barre isn’t abs. Will definitely keep going to...
