McDonald's — Restaurant in Durango

Avoid this location. They are not only SLOW for a simple order, they are inaccurate and the food comes out cold. We had an order for 4 people.

We are out of town people with kids who are used to our neighborhood McD's. Our location is fast, and rarely makes the sort of error i describe below. When an error occurs, it is the priority of the our SLC McD's to correct it.. This Durango location is a failure in comparison, and the expeditors should be fired. I suspect the manager is not engaged with the fact that my review is not uncommon.

We had a Quarter Lb with NO cheese, and after waiting for 30 minutes inside the lobby, the order arrived with the cheese. With a courteous request to get this swapped out, it took another 15 minutes to get the correction addressed. Meanwhile. I watched perhaps 4 or 5 orders get filled. SERIOUSLY!!

Fries from McD's are great when they are hot, but taste pretty gross when they go cold. All 4 orders of our fries came out luke warm, but after waiting for the correction, they were vile cold. When i got the food to the kids in the hotel, they were grossed out by the fries, and found that there should have been 6 orders of barbecue sauce for all the mcnuggets we ordered, and there were none.

Fast food should be fast, and eatable. The other reviews complain about slow. I should have heeded the warning. Easy to say I will not order food from this...

Husband and I came here to eat while visiting the town. We came for some breakfast one day and some warmth one night while we were out walking the town. This specific location is ran by a family and you can tell that they care about their store. It was fairly clean considering how packed it gets. It's probably one of the most busiest McDonald's I have seen yet! We visited in December, so tourist season, but they definitely kept the line moving. I HIGHLY suggest skipping the long lines by getting the app and ordering online for pickup. My husband and I were in and out, AND we got some good deals that the app offered. The night we came in for some warmth, the lines were out the door!! And the morning we got breakfast the drive thru lines have been looped around the building.

There's also gotta be a different recipe for their hashbrowns because it was the best McDonald's hasbrowns I have ever had. "They're built different". I have been craving it every morning. It has some seasoning to it or something. Anyway, great location and awesome staff! Can't wait...

6/26/22 Make sure your order is correct. This one (Durango, CO) is becoming increasingly good at screwing up orders. I ordered what I always do, a double quarter pounder with cheese. What I got was a single quarter pounder. I know they heard the order correctly, because 1) they repeated the order back to us, and they did, in fact, say double quarter pounder. 2) they placed the single quarter pounder they gave me in a double quarter pounder box. On our last visit, they left us waiting in the car for 35 minutes, to get our drive-thru order. When my wife went in to check on the order, they tried telling her that they had sent it out. Since we were in the car, in the designated place, I’m pretty sure we would have spotted each other. I’m not even sure what they could do to make it up to me, as it’s almost an hour round trip from our house to the store. As for our experience last week, I feel like the least they could have done was a to apologize, or at least not lying to us and acting as if it was...
