Waited in line for 30min... IN THE DRIVE THRU! That was only to order and pay at the 1st window. Then waited about 10-15minutes more after paying at window 1 before being handed our food at window 2... And they still had to go get us our drink... At that point we decided we had waited enough and dealt with enough waiting around for subpar service and food... We informed the guy at the window, who appeared to be an assistant manager or shift leader, that instead of waiting even more, for our drink, now being above 40 minutes time waiting in line, that we just wanted our money back. We stuck the bag food back out the window, the window attendant took the bag and a little over 60 seconds later we were handed back our money. The gentleman's only and very unsatisfactory response as to why we waited so long was that he had three or four $300 orders in front of us. so instead of making people who plays ridiculously large orders wait in the parking lot for their food like I have done before when I make a large order at this McDonald'sthey'll allow these people to stay in the line while the rest of us who are trying to get fast food are forced to wait over 40 minutes to get our food, and then giving a ridiculous explanation instead of an apology. To top it off, after leaving with our refund, we thought that the worker taking back the opened food bag may have actually violated food and safety/health codes by doing so. We wouldn't have eaten the food anyways bc it was already cold by the time it was given to us... Would have been nice to receive an actual apology and maybe even some sort of concession for future use for having wasted close to an hour in a drive through line to receive a refund for cold food ... Just because you're the only fast food restaurant in our small mountain town doesn't give you the right to abuse our time or treat us disrespectfully... If anything, being the tiny town that Estes Park is, this McDonald's should be ultra aware of it's year round local residents, not everyone who goes thru your drive through is a tourist, you would do well to not treat everyone as...
Read moreThe most unfair/racist/cheap/unprofessional McDonald's I've ever been to; to be such a small town! Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful, but including the managers & staff they are horrible people. It all started when my brother in law was paying for our order he paid with his credit card and it approved than the manager said it didnt go through so he needed to pay with cash, so he did. We went to wait for our food which took approximately 45mins-1hr when he checked his bank account the money had been deducted from his account. He went back to advice them it was taken out so he needed his refund.. They refused to give him his refund so we adviced them that if they wouldn't we would make a complaint they soon came back and gave him his refund once we sat down to eat my son got a happy meal which came with barbecue which we had originally asked for ranch. I went up to the counter asked them if I could have a ranch they said they wouldn't give me anything that I needed to take the barbecue dip back in order for them to even hand me ranch dip.. which I didn't even care but the tone he said it really made me mad. Well after we were done the manager passed by us with his pants down almost to his knees which seemed really unprofessional. This was my experience; I will say I will never go there I dont recommend it. I had placed a mobile order for breakfast at around 10:20, came to the drive thru by 10:32 (so two minutes after breakfast "ends") and was told,"Ohh we aren't serving breakfast anymore." I was a little bit grumpy that the order I paid for could no longer be fulfilled but okay, that's on me. So we ordered two #5's and the person on the speaker says, "We're not serving breakfast." I said yes we are aware we're ordering lunch. Alright be get it handled and pulled around to the window where I ask for a refund for my unfulfilled mobile order. They call up a manager and she proceeds to lean out the window and say, "You had the mobile order?" I said yes, and she says "We're no longer serving breakfast." At this point if one more person tells me they're not serving breakfast I will lose my mind, I am also wondering if anyone here talks to eachother or if they just keep parroting the same phrase. I say yes, I know I just want a refund, as soon as she hands me the money she closes the window. We hadn't paid for our meal! We wait and wait for close to 5 minutes and she comes back and asks if we need anything, we tell her that we haven't paid for our meal and she apologizes and we pay and pull up. The ONLY reason I am giving this 2 stars is that our nuggets and fries were hot crispy and fresh, but the complete lack of communication and general incompetence was exhausting...
