Really wanted to like this place. I got the steak tacos because I saw the review that said "best asada tacos in Eugene" and that it's a new place. Not a single shred of love was used in making my tacos. I asked for no onions, there were onions. They gave me shredded bagged cheese. Not even any type of authentic Mexican blend. There was ZERO spices on the meat. None. No salt. No cumin. No paprika. Not a single tiny sliver of flavor whatsoever. Whoever said these are the best tacos in Eugene was absolutely lying and knows the owners or they were straight smoking crack. They have no drinks. The salsa is jarred. Not homemade like any other Mexican place in town. This is by far the worst I've ever had. The asada tastes like dog food. The lady at the front said they didn't have the homemade tortillas because it's hot outside and she's lazy, she literally said that to me. Lmao sorry but it's 80 degrees out and I've been to Mexico. It's much hotter. If you're going to put "authentic" in your title, for god sakes pit a little bit of love into your food....the people were friendly, it was very clean. Food was terrible. I stomached down one of the three tacos I got and the second one was loaded with the onions I said not to include and it tasted like dog food anyways. Like I said, not a single thread of any type of seasoning, absolutely completely bland. No salt. Not a single Mexican seasoning used, nothing. Oh well.
Mr crack smoker, if you want to try actual Mexican authentic food with love and flavor, El taco express is a milliom.times better and cheaper.
Terrible terrible food. Sorry, just...
Read moreOk. So I’m rating this on 3 items, so take it for what it is. I ordered the fiesta bowl and it was excellent! The bowl was packed, layered and yummy with the carnitas! 5 stars! I ordered the chips and they were a bit stale… but the salsa was good.
My wife ordered the Caesar wrap and was disappointed. Lots of lettuce and wrap, not much else! I tried it and the dressing was good but it’s was a lot of wrap and lettuce… We will be back but probably won’t get the wrap. I’ll probably give the chips another try and the wet burrito...
Read moreOh, man. I love a good food truck, and (so far) this is among the best. The truck looks brand new, and the owners put some thought into how it looks. The website's a snap to use. I ordered ahead, and they had my burrito ready and hot when I walked from my office to grab it. I'm a sucker for a Cali burrito, and their's did not disappoint. I'm very glad to have stumbled onto this place when I discovered The Crown Bus Cafe next door. I will...
