After leaving this review we were contacted by the owner of PLAY who was more than gracious and apologetic about how experience and making it right. Would recommend to anyone after this!

We've visited Play several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and drinks. This time, we decided to try out the golf simulator experience. We had booked a tee time for 8pm, which was supposed to last for an hour. While waiting, we noticed that the golf area was empty, so we asked the bartender if we could start our session earlier. He agreed, even checking the schedule to see if anyone was scheduled to use the area and we began playing before our scheduled time. After about 40 minutes, the bartender came over and told us we had only 5 minutes left, which was incorrect since we had booked for an hour. My husband spoke with the General Manager, who was dismissive and rude. She insisted that we were supposed to start at 8pm and implied that it was our fault for starting early. She mentioned that someone else wanted to use the space and offered a refund, but did so by taking money out of her own wallet and the tip jar, which we found very unprofessional. We even spoke to the people who wanted to book the space, and they were more than happy to wait until we were finished since they showed up late. Eugene, get ready!!! Thank you Andrew and Holly for giving us something new, hip, fun, and cool! I was absolutely in love with my experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a vibrant, interactive environment! I immediately saw my good friends, and immediately said to myself , “This place is going to crush it!” So many fun things to do…AND the it features a real batting cage and cool video games for extra entertainment! The separate bar is super warm and inviting…definitely artistic which represents the creative sprits of the owners along with being true to the Pacific Northwest. The food carts were delicious…so, hurry food cart owners! Secure your space! This new venue reeks of success :) There is plenty of room for everyone to have a good time. There’s even a wonderful play area for children; it’s so nice to have a space where parents can go out and be in a cool environment and know their kids are safe and having fun, while they are too :-) So bring your family and bring your friends… Bring your inner child! It’s definitely going to be a great place to play, visit, connect, network, relax, and most of all just have a really great time! I’m looking forward to watching this fantastic restaurant grow into one of the most popular places in Eugene! Well done...

A must visit in Lane County! The vibe at Play is similar to Level Up (a place we also love) but a little more geared towards families. It’s spacious and lively. We come here at least twice a month and enjoy our time both with kids and without.

They have a handful of arcade games, a batting room, board games, a golf arcade room, four or five food trucks, a photo booth, a children’s play area, and a great beer selection. Non alcohol beer and kombucha as well! Local art is on display on a rotating basis. Parking has never been an issue with the huge parking lot on the side. I love this because in downtown Eugene, sometimes free parking is scarce.

They have a connected cocktail lounge if you’re looking for totally kid free time, and make amazing mixed drinks!

Play is sort of like an adult Chuck E. Cheese. There is a lot to do to keep all ages...
