Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Federal Way

YEOWEE!! Absolutely NEVER AGAIN!! I lived nearby for nearly 12 years, and for about the first nine years had reasonanle acceptable service. I've watched it deteriorate terribly for the last three. About a year ago I was sitting at the bar, ordered food, and it actually took THREE tries for them to finally bring the correct food that I ordered. The first two times they served me the wrong food! I left there swearing to myself that I'll NEVER go back. Two days ago, my first time back, I stopped in for one drink because I had many things to do that afternoon and only had time for one. What could go wrong with one drink?? Well, here's what went wrong. I ordered a Margarita. She brought it and hastily exited my presence. As I looked at it in front of me, I saw it had no salt on the rim. I have NEVER! ordered a Margarita w/o salt, anywhere. Who serves a Margarita w/o salt without first asking you whether you want salt or not ?? Well, I waited and waited and waited some more. Then I started waiving my arms trying to get some attention and continued to be ignored. I waited a VERY long time and finally gave it all up and left w/o touching my drink. As I was leaving I passed the bartender and told her I just didn't have more time to wait for salt! NEVER! NEVER! will I ever again go back to the place that once-upon-a-time was a decent place to eat!! Just what is so difficult about serving a Margarita with salt??? This is truly sad, because I genuinely like the people who work there. Don't need an ulcer served up w/my order!...

OK so I've been here a lot living in the area but I went in last night so I'm just going to base my review of this visit. Walked in and stood there for five minutes without anyone saying hi, hold on, etc. When we did get seated service was lacking. He forgot to ask if we wanted a perfect margarita but honored the free dessert (he did try to talk us in to getting the cheapest free thing but can't knock him for trying) had to ask for water refills, had to ask for food that was forgotten, had to ask for napkins. The food however, the nachos sounded good but were gross so we barely touched them, boneless wings were good, chicken wanton tacos were great and crispy, I ordered the mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders, I was not a fan of the tenders but the mac with the honey was so good, I mean so goood. I'd eat that again. One thing that bothered me ( I guess I never noticed but I did last night because I have a kid now) so the bar is in the middle of the restaurant which is fine but it's supposed to be a family place and you can hear all the bar talk which I noticed when we sat down because the bartender (who I think may have been the manager) was telling some guy she liked his afro because it takes a strong white man to wear his natural hair. Lol from then on it wasn't really talk I'd want my kids to hear but there's always other...

Worst dining experience ever. Request a table for 7. 4 adults, 1 nine year old and two 23 month olds. Told 20 minutes wait. 40 minutes later we are finally seated at a table for 4 during normal operations. They fit three seats together like a bench on both sides and one at tje end of the table. Stood there 10 minutes waiting on booster seats. When they finally arrived there are no seatbelts. If anyone knows squirming toddlers this sicks. We order sides and our meals which come two minutes apart so seven meals and 4 sides on a table designed for 4. We then wait 10 minutes for napkins, salad dressing and utensils. After 10 minutes without seeing our server i get up and look around. Everyone else in the restaurant had forks, knives, spoons and napkins and seems to be enjoying themselves. I am livid at this point and see my server flirt with the guys she is serving drinks to at the end of our isle. I asked the hostess about getting utensils. And then wait another 5 minutes before asking for boxes so we could just take our food home. They dumped 6 tiny takeout boxes on our table and three plastic bags with the waitress making sure to remind me the bill os right here. No apologies nothing. Packed all the food, paid the bill and took my family home. Would not recommend this Applebee's for...
