La Bergerie — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

First off want to start by saying the town of Fredericksburg is beautiful. We had a great weekend get away and not one bad experience until we were headed home after a weekend of hiking and a whole lot of eating . My wife and I stopped bye to enjoy some wine before heading back home. This was on her list of places to stop before heading home. Beautiful building and great ambiance.We had the whole place to our selves and were enjoying an awesome board with some great wine on a comfy couch at a table in the front of the building . We were there for all of 20 mins before a group of affluent looking White ladies walked in. A staff member then walked over and grabbed our wine bottle and cheese board and told us she is moving to the back portion of the restaurant. Did not ask if we could move or even offer to comp something for moving. NOPE just grabbed our stuff and said we are moving you guys . Even though my wife and I are successful Hispanic business owners in Austin , it was a quick reminder of where our place is in the establishment . The food is great , the scenery is beautiful and the lady working was super sweet and was just following orders from someone else apparently . We have been back to Fredericksburg twice since then and cannot bring our selves to come back here and support the business . We have brought family and friends to this town to visit with us and have told them all about our experience here . We will support the establishments where we are welcomed and...

Best spot I visited on my first trip to Fredericksburg. I went over after having to wait to get seated at their sister restaurant on the first day I arrived to Fredericksburg. The wine I tried was the best one I had while on this trip and before leaving a couple of days later, I stopped by again and was greeted by the same waitress from the day before and she remembered me and I was able to buy the bottle of my favorite wine. The down side is that once she left , the other waitresses that were there never checked up on us. My friends and I would have to keep going to the counter to ask for things. I may possibly reach out to the restaurand and let them know how great the first hostess was, because after you get bad service you appreciate the good service even more. I also like that you are able to choose your cheese and meats for the charcuterie board, at other places it was a set charcuterie board that you could not customize to...

I have been coming here since they first opened in 2019, but it has really gone down hill in the last year. They served me the worst charcuterie board I have ever had, the presentation and pairing was just terrible. I also bought a bottle for the table but the waitstaff did not come back to refill my glass, or to even check on me a single time. At the end I had to get up and find her so I could pay and leave (still left her a 20% tip despite not waiting on my table at all). I won't be recommending this place to anyone ever again, and I also won't be back! P.S. please bring back the marinated marcona almonds, and balsamic onions since its the only redeeming quality to your cheese and meat boards... and maybe add a mirror in...
