Don’t eat here, it is located in the highest foot traffic location in Glenwood, they are over priced given the service and quality of food.. I am a native Coloradan, my family has been here for four generations. My great grandparents got married in Glenwood we come here every year to celebrate our families connection to Glenwood. I have family that stretches all four corners of the state, they will be informed of this poor experience. Today I have witness such disorganized service, unprofessional management and utter failure of business acumen. The manager and or hostess took my name and number for a 35 min wait for a party of 6. The wait was expected given the time of year, we received the text and proceed into the restaurant this is when the rude, wholly inappropriate catty behavior started. My party of six came in and walked to the hostess table through the crammed layout of the restaurant, then I verify the text I received to be seated. She told me“Oh the table isn’t ready, you need to wait outside until it is ready. See the three tables of six, we don’t know when they will leave and our policy is a 10 min hold for tables after we send the text”. After several minutes of standing awkwardly near an open table, we got seated. The hostess did not walk with us to the table she lazily pointed to the Grind sign,” you are over there.”where possibly our table was located. By the process of elimination we went to an open table of 6 near the restrooms. As we walked up our waitress began breaking up the 6 person table. My father who had just walked in said “We are party of 6 we need this other table you just moved.” She then said, “ I didn’t even realize that you were going to sit here.” My response then was, “It seems like your system needs some work.” After that the purple haired waitress and the blonde manager began talking very catty towards me beginning with the manager passively aggressively approaching me with an attitude,”Sorry I can’t control when people leave the table or when they will be ready.” The interactions and the ugly looks I received after that between both women were almost funny but yet still shocking. I HAVE NEVER WALKED INTO A RESTAURANT SO HUNGRY AND NOT ORDER ANYTHING BASED ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was afraid they would spit in my food. My dad and I both did not get food based on the the poor service. The only reason other members of our party ate was due to the likelihood of going to a better restaurant would involve a significant wait. I have never written a review before and have had subpar service in the past. The service was so passive aggressive and egregious that I felt compelled to write this. Additionally I am a young woman I guarantee that they would not have treated my father that way had he been the one contact them. My money is going to a small business that cares about customers., their reputation, and can handle the volume of customers in a tourism town at the height of the season. Do yourself a favor go up the street to the steak house or go further into Glenwood Springs to the Charcoal Burger. Avoid these clowns, if they want to act like resentful townies, and be a local joint move out of if the...
Read moreNot good at all.. there’s a common theme with other reviews and I wish I would’ve read them before we chose to go. Food is bland and burgers full of gristle worst of all is the service and lack thereof. Photos are deceiving. We sat at the bar and for about the first ten minutes of sitting we watched as the “bartender” frantically zoomed around acting as if the place was at full capacity when there were 5 tables sat and about 3 of us at the bar. Finally our drink order was taken… my fiancé went off the recommendation of the “bartender” I ordered the shandy. I received my beer relatively quick which I’d assume would be expected as it was a draft.. my finances took a while as the “bartender” continued to race back and forth seemingly accomplishing nothing. For the food my fiance once again asked a recommendation and was told to get the sweet potato fries I ordered the Richie’s lunch burger and onion rings with a side of chipotle mayo. After our order was finally in my fiancé and I started to notice the familiar smell of sewer gas… the food came out and the sweet potato fries were not as described on the menu they were fried in tempura which the menu did not mention anything of the such. My burger was complete trash the very first bite was met with a teeth chattering piece of gristle after I spit it out I mistakenly continued to eat the burger following every other bite with more gristle the spicy mayo was odd to me because it had what appeared to be pickles?? Halfway thru the dipping cup there was a full slice of cucumber... The “bartender” came over to check how everything was in which I stated I’m getting a bunch of gristle it’s ok I guess in which I was met with the comment that “it’s grass feed that’s what they do they throw it all in there and grind it”. What?!?!!? I couldn’t finish the burger it was so bland and plain, no seasoning burger meat, was dry and so was the bun. Once I managed to finish what I could of the burger we over heard another waitress comment to a co worker that the awful smell was from the BURGER!!!! 😱 I had instant regret and now await to see if I will get food poisoning. Never did the “bartender” ask if my fiancé would like another drink after hers was gone the majority of our dinning stay. Needless to say we could ask for our bill quick enough to run away from this place to never come back. Be aware this place is not safe, not good, and service is complete trash. The best thing we had there was seriously the glass of water. Waste of a dinner and waste of our money we could’ve spent at a much better...
Read moreAfter sitting in the hot sun for an hour we unfortunately ended up leaving. Not because it took almost an hour to order our food and receive it, but because of the very rude, aggressive staff. We were a party of 5 adults and 7 kids so we had to sit at two tables on the opposite sides of the outside patio. Unfortunately their was only one large table so we had 5 children sit at a smaller table. Needless to say it was crowded. During the first 25 minutes, while the waitress tended to other customers who arrived after us, a larger table opened up adjacent to our table and a party of two (who arrived much later than us) moved to the table so they could be out of the sun. We finally placed our order and continued to wait for our food. Finally after another 30-35 minutes of waiting the same table opened up again. At that moment our waitress brought out our KIDS MEALS out and we asked politely if we could move the kids to that table. She answered very rudely, “No, because we have a group of people waiting.” I then proceeded to turn around and see 2 empty tables behind me towards the back of the patio. I mentioned this to the waitress and also said that we were here WAY before them and that she was COMPLETELY okay with the first party changing tables. She then proceeded to AGGRESSIVELY sit down three plates of food right next to my baby who was sitting in a high chair and yell, “Fine I don’t care what you do, do whatever” and walked away. It then continued with my husband after trying to talk with them and that is when the other waiter started being severely rude. have NEVER witnessed such horrible customer...
