Our group of 3 waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our food with very little service in between. Didn’t get my water refilled once, and our $12 daquri drinks came about 45 minutes into us being there, none of us could taste or feel alcohol in any of our drinks at all. The peach one I got tasted good, just weak - the banana ones that the rest of my group got tasted bad, like stale sprite, really no banana flavor. I asked for a stronger drink, and my group asked for better tasting ones -they came back in another 20 minutes and the banana drink was actually pretty good and mine was a bit stronger to the point that I knew I was at least drinking some alcohol (made wrong the first time?). That’s already a steep price for drinks in Glenwood, I still would’ve hoped for better, and to have drinks prices posted. My nachos were pretty tasty but the other members of my group thought the chicken tenders were very dry/bland and ended up sending them back. One member of my group also had to ask for a side of ranch 4 times before getting it by flagging down various staff members. The female server was barely polite to us and only came to our table 2 or 3 times throughout the night and not once to refill drinks or ask how our food was. We had to ask for a manager after letting our server know the tenders weren’t good enough for any to of us to feel good about eating and the server refused to offer any help. Once the manager arrived she was very kind, apologetic and offered to take them off of the bill. I’d only give this place 1 star had it not been for the manager’s kind attitude and being apologetic about staffing difficulties. It didn’t seem very busy, though it seemed the place was struggling to keep other guests there happy. The gentleman who brought our food was also very polite. I understand that every place has off-days and I’d like to give this place another chance perhaps on a less busy time of year but until then I hope they can fix the issues that lead to the extremely long wait times and...
Read moreThis is only getting two stars because the food (once we got it) was decent but some of it was cold. The service was awful and I mean the worst I have ever had. We walked in to three other tables already seated. One was trying to pay so they could leave and were saying how long it was taking to get their bill. We were told to seat ourselves and then proceeded to wait 15 mins for waters, not even enough for everyone to have their own water we ended up sharing glasses. We were never offered menus and ended up looking them up online. Then 20 mins after we sat down our waiter came to take our drink order, 10 mins later the drinks showed up and were wrong but we figured if they had to switch them it would be another 10 mins. At this point we should have left but we had put our food order in when they took our drink order. The power flickered very briefly about 30 mins after we had sat down. Fast forward to 1 hour and 10 mins after we walked in we still don’t have food and our waiter has not reappeared since taking our order. We flag down a passing person and ask if our food is coming out soon. We are told that the power thing messed up their computers so our food was delayed. This was confusing as our order should have already been in the process when the power went out for that 10 seconds. 15 mins later we decide that if the food is not out in 10 mins we are leaving. The food comes out just under the timeline and besides some of it being cold and the some of the orders being wrong, it tasted decent. Towards the end a tall man in a red shirt showed up and things vastly improved service wise, don’t know if he is the manager or what but all of a sudden we got a refill on our drinks and our waiter reappeared. While we were there 3 groups of people showed up and left without ever getting menus or waters brought to their tables. By far the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant, which is too bad because I think the food could actually be...
Read moreThis place was one of our most interesting dining experiences. By the end of the night I was looking for Ashton Kutcher to see if I was on a episode of punked. The first sign the night was headed for disaster was the wine list handed to us hand written on a small notepad accompanied by the "phrase writing lists helps my autism". We quickly realized none of the hand written wines were in the resteraunt. We ordered a pino noir and were told we have a open bottle of preseco from last night. Eventually a cabirnet was found that took 20 minutes to open. We offered to open the bottle our selves but, were instructed it's ok i opened a bottle of apothic at my house with the same bottle opener.
Other highlights of the night.
We requested silverware and as the bartender was going to get them the manager pulled her to the side as two patrons negotiated the price of the meal and the servers tip. I spotted the silverware as the negotiation happened and retrieved it myself. As the negotiation ended the bartender came back and said "oh yea let me get your silverware". I said no need I already got it.
The second glass of wine took as long as the first. As the bartender lifted the glass to inspect for cleanliness she stated "I watch bar rescue so I know you can't serve wine in a dirty glass". She proceeded to wipe the glass for 20 minutes.
By this time we needed more ranch. We ordered two sides but only one came out. The bartender asked the kitchen for more ranch and they told her no. She yelled back it's for a actual customer.
Finally when I asked for the check the bartender stated "I'll get you the check but I have to call my mom 1st as she disappeared for another 20+ minutes".
Needless to say there were many other quirks to the experience but I'm over writing this post. Food wasn't terrible. Menu listed things that were not...
