Found this place on yelp. Got great reviews and my wife and daughter love sushi so we gave it a shot. As we walked in there were a ton of handwritten signs that say we are short staffed, be patient with us and be nice and be kind. I understand the effects that COVID-19 has caused on the food industry. My family and I were very sympathetic to their situation. It took forever for someone to even come to our table. 20+ minutes. When she got there she was not listening to us and screwed up our order three times before leaving to put the order in. Also, they were out of two different things that I wanted. This drives me nuts and makes my blood boil, coming from the food industry when I managed many pizza restaurants in my college years. If it's on the menu you have it in stock. If you don't have it in stock, take it off the menu. Simple as that! No excuse for this.
We never saw another staff member until food was coming out and we had not received our drinks yet. When we asked about our drinks they disappeared and never returned. We saw our original waitress again and asked about drinks and she left "to go look for them again" finally as we were finishing our meal our drinks arrived and were incorrect. I had to go to the bar personally and get our drinks corrected. Ugh.... I thought the worst was over, but it was not. We waited and waited and waited to ask for our check. Finally I went up to the counter to ask for our check. I received quite a bit of attitude and when they printed the receipt is was all wrong. All the stuff we ordered and did not receive. Asked them to correct it and they did. Did not give a tip because even though they were "short" staffed every table , but ours had decent service and at least had someone stop by a couple times. We were completely ignored throughout our experience. They had the nerve to chase us down and force me to tip them. I was not happy and will NEVER eat here again. Sushi was fair and service was absolutely atrocious. Eat here with caution. Would have given them negative stars...

I think most people like the retro Tokyo feel, and Kedai knocks it out of the park. After walking upstairs to what you think may be a tiny restaurant, you find a bustling business with waiters tendering delicious fresh food to groups of hungry customers. Don’t be fooled if it is packed. The kitchen works fast. The waiters are always there to tend to your whims.
It doesn’t matter how you perfer to dine, there’s a seat in there for you. The menu is eclectic of Japanese cuisine and pho. The prices are a little high, but a good meal will be had for under $20. Beware of the sake, if you get it, make sure you have a friend to share with. I found even with my experience with the wine, the amount is very generous when ordered and the flavor was exceptional.
The sushi is made fresh and finds its way to your table far sooner than what you would expect on a busy restaurant. Same with the multitude of drinks that are available with the full bar.
The ramen is to die for. There’s definitely a bowl for everyone to find scrumptious comfort in.
The meals are generously portioned and served hot.
Personally, we aim to make it a weekly staple for us, so in short, we highly recommend you stop in and sit down for a plate or...
Read moreThis restaurant is a disgrace for asain cuisine. The menu is a QR code, which would be fine if the online menu was designed correctly. Honestly one of the worst menu designs I've ever seen, I don't understand how someone thought that was a good idea.
The salad rolls were some of the worst I've ever had, no mint, no cilantro, no vermicelli noodles, no flavor. Not to mention they were paired with straight peanut butter, not peanut sauce. Definitely not worth the $8 they charge for 1 roll cut in half, not even rolled well and tight so it just falls apart while your eating it.
Server didnt know what Asahi was, even though its on the drink menu. He nodded and said 'okay' after I said three times what beer I'd like. Never received my beer and at that point I didnt care enough to ask for it again only to have him not understand. Fortunately, I was not charged for it.
The spicy Korean noodles was literally volcano Buldak instant ramen, the black package in particular. As someone who eats this at home often, the flavor is unmistakable. If you look at the spicy korean noodles on the menu, every single one of them are Buldak flavors. And they charged $15 for it. You can buy a variety pack of samyang noodles on Amazon for that price.
Extremely disappointing meal. Would...
