I'm in a state without Waffle Houses so I look forward to eating breakfast at WH whenever I'm traveling and have the chance. I visited this location twice. First time was great! Service was speedy, omelet was purrrfect, and Fanta and Hailey and the cook (TJ I think) and server with long blond hair were bubbly and enjoyable to visit with. Great representatives for the brand and this store!
The second day, I came about 9:50 and sat in the same chair and after being noticed but ignored for 10 minutes a tall heavy-set woman with long braids and (no name tag) sauntered over and said "what do you want". Same order; coffee, ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and raisin toast. About 10 minutes later she slides coffee in a mug my way and turns around and my order still isn't called in.
After, another customer came in with a complicated to go order and the demeanor of my server was completely different. Took the order, called it in immediately, just stood there and waited for it to be completed, then packaged it and presented it to the customer. A table of two behind came in after I did were served first. I had plenty of time to observe.
The server with the long blond hair was kind enough to refill my travel mug to half while I continued to be ignored by my server.
About 10:20 my server FINALLY called in my order. After continuing to be ignored, I went to the register about 10:30, paid cash for my coffee, and left. I hope that wasn't pocketed for a tip.
I found my server's differential treatment, standoffish attitude, and lousy customer service delivery, appalling. Wearing a visor saying "Elite Server" is an insult to those who are. Maybe it was just a bad day. Or maybe an intervention is needed.
A bit down the road, my WH jones was satisfied in...
Read moreI’m sitting here right now listening to two completely disgruntled employees. One of which just picked up the phone and told a customer that they’re not taking to go orders and hung up on the guy...simply because she wanted to sit down and do nothing. The guy called back and she answered the phone by saying “I told you we aren’t taking any to go orders!” The customer asked why.... the answer was “because I said so” followed by another hang up in his face. He name was Ty...and she was very clear that she didn’t care care who knew that she’s the one that told him that. The other employee seemed somewhat embarrassed yet still never said anything. This Ty lady proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs how bad it is to work here and how she purposely lets customers sit here until the other shift arrives instead of taking care of them. She literally was bragging about how long some people stayed after she didn’t help them. I never write reviews. This might be the fifth one and only the second or third negative review. I’m a “Foody” that enjoys everything from Waffle House to high dollar steak houses.... This was one of the worst and most uncomfortable dining experiences I’ve ever...
Read moreThe Waffle House is always great but this morning was great because this older gentleman came in and left his door open on his SUV and I went asked him if he meant to leave it open or not. He said no and as slow moving as he was coming in he didn't seem like he wanted to get up and go out to close the car door so I volunteered. When I went back to his table to ask if he had his keys he let me know that her didn't need a key and that he was paying for my table's breakfast, I said don't worry about it. He finished his breakfast got up to leave and we had a nice little chat about the adventures of getting old before he left. When we were ready to leave our waitress informed us that he had already paid our bill. Very cool of him. I don't know who he is but if a cool old guy rocking a Mercedes AMG SUV is reading this thanks for breakfast. Also there is a super hot waitress there. She kept smiling at me every time she passed and I don't know if she was flirting or just being friendly but wow she was cute. Looking at her was like experiencing art. Oh yeah the food was good too. I had...
