So many great bars downtown. DON'T BOTHER with this one!
Stopped in here during GenCon to get a quick drink and maybe something to eat. Sat down at the bar in a mostly empty room. Noticed the floor was unusually sticky. Meh, it's a music bar not a place with class, whatever. Received a drink from the most disinterested bartender I have ever seen. He did not acknowledge me. Barely looked at me. Didn't string two words together. I can understand in a packed bar being distracted or having some kind of an excuse, but there was absolutely nothing. Two groups at the far end of the bar and a server eating her dinner before the rush hit. He didn't even ask if I wanted a food menu. I would tell you his name, but neither he nor I cared enough to get to know each other, all I know is he had a pencil behind his ear.
Shortly after I received a beer, a small bachelorette party came in. Their arrival pointed out how sticky the floor was as one of the cheap laminate "boards" quite literally came up attached to her shoe. One would think a bartender with any sense at all would start catering to a bigger group which came in, nope. He was as disinterested in them as he was me. The only tip this bartender deserves is to find another job because he is wasting everyone's time and doing an already sketchy bar a massive disservice.
The girls got drinks and wandered off to a table, I ordered a second drink which he poured like a moron resulting in an overflow of foam and only a 3/4's full plastic cup. While I dealt with his mess a guy came up to the bar to ask about seating and a server. Bartender said, "sit wherever the server is around" and turned around to go to the other end of the bar for absolutely no discernible reason whatsoever. The new customer and I made eye contact and had a brief "what is the matter with that guy" exchange.
I had far overstayed what this place was worth and asked to cash out. With only a few other people at the bar and no other responsibilities the bartender could not remember if I had paid for my first drink. My total time in this place was no more than 30 minutes. I had not paid and told him I had not. I can only imagine how much money this guy costs the bar on a busy night if he can't handle four customers at the bar and a small group who ordered a single drink each.
Don't bother. Don't waste your time. If you are following a band here because they have a gig, tell them the alley is a friendlier and better place. Probably less sticky and the dumpsters will have more personality than whoever...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with how I was treated at Tin Roof tonight. I’ve been coming here regularly, especially on Thursdays for Pom Teddy’s karaoke, and have never had any issues. I’ve never been kicked out, harassed anyone, or caused any kind of disturbance.
To be approached out of nowhere by a crew member and told I’ve been “banned since last year” — with no explanation or prior warning — was not only shocking, but completely unprofessional. The way it was said, including being told “don’t do dumb shit,” was rude, disrespectful, and honestly humiliating.
If there was ever an issue, I would expect it to be communicated in a respectful and transparent way. Instead, I was blindsided and treated like a problem without any context.
I hope management looks into how their staff communicates with regular guests. No one deserves to be spoken to that way — especially when they’ve done nothing wrong.
I left right after the bartender gave me a drink, it was my first drink of the night. I spoke the manager, he said to me you good you can go back inside I already spoke to the crew. I am not mad about it, the crew member is doing his job but when you are wrong then I admit.
Unprofessional….. Karaoke is great Bartender are awesome Crew member are no Never...
Read moreSo, my brother and my friends went here to celebrate a reunion. But, the minute my brother and I went to the bathroom, one of the employees said that we needed to go. To give a good description, the employee had gauges on his ears and was caucasian while the other had black earrings and was african american. The caucasian employee stated that my brother was stumbling and too drunk and told us we were getting kicked out. I told the employee my brother only had two drinks and showed no signs of stumbling. The african american employee stated there were too many complaints from patrons about my brother. I asked them who the patrons were and they proceeded to not give any evidence whatsoever of the complaints on my brother. My brother was not even drunk, but the employees insisted that he was too drunk to be in the club. We proceeded to get kicked out. I asked for the manager and the employees refused to have me see the manager. The staff was not friendly and I believe the reason we got kicked out was because they were trying to get more people in. We were polite to all of you, and this is how we get treated? Train your employees better and stop hiring these egotistical employees. This was outrageous and I am never coming back here again...
