It's been quite the experience and that's not a compliment.
We were planning on staying for 4 days. They had us booked for 6 days and we didn't know this until we arrived. We had said we were NOT staying for 6 days and thought that was the end of that problem. When we checked in, the man at the front desk also said that we could switch to a different payment option at checkout if we needed to because of some issues going on with our payment.
The night before we check out, we call the front desk to talk about the payment option and we find out not only are we still being charged for the extra 2 nights, we are unable to check out with a different payment option like we were told by the previous man at the front desk. The man on the phone then accuses us of lying and proceeded to charge us with the payment option we didn't want to use. After some time of trying to reason with him, he refused to resolve the issue and told us "you can call customer service and nothing's gonna change." When we asked for his name, he refused 6 times to give us his name and said "YOU DON'T NEED MY NAME!" and it wasn't until I went down to the lobby to ask in person what his name was that he finally said his name was Michael.
We did indeed call customer service and all we could do was file a complaint with the customer service rep after talking with several people. We will be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint and see if there are any judicial routes we can take.
Some of the other staff were nice, however, the room we were given was dirty when we got in and the bathroom sink was clogged so we had to use the kitchen sink.
Overall, my experience at this hotel was NOT satisfactory. God help you if you stay here and Michael is in charge of things. He will straight up steal from you, gaslight you, and if it ends up stranding you in Indianapolis, well to use Michael's words "That's just company policy. It's a business, we're not a charity."
Tl;Dr We stayed, we got overcharged and they refused to take responsibility or resolve any issues amicably. Be advised: This hotel will scam you if you're...
Read moreVery positive experience!! We came here for the Circle City Classic and this hotel was the perfect location for what we needed. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere we went which was very convenient. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was beautiful. Let's talk about the room. It was smaller than it looks in the pictures but I actually appreciate how it was arranged, worked well for us. When you pull out the sofa bed in the king suite it does touch the bed, FYI. The breakfast was amazing, big selection in my opinion!! We're more of a light breakfast type of family so we enjoyed the yogurt with all the mix-ins, muffins and eggs. If you're more of a meat eating family you may be disappointed because there weren't many meat options, although I did over hear that they have veggie patties by request. Let's talk parking. There are three options, garage parking for around $30/night, parking lot for $25/night, or on the street parking for free. We arrived around 12:30am on Friday and there were several spots available on the street so we chose that option. We could see our car from our room and the area was safe and quiet so we were happy not to have to pay for parking the entire trip. I will say if you come at more of a busy time you may have to take another option. Let's talk deposit. As I didn't see one listed on hotels.com but they charged me an extra $25/room/night at check in and it was released from my card 2 days after we checked out. Very satisfied with our experience, will definitely recommend and...
Read moreStayed here for a wedding this past weekend. Not super worth the price - the towels felt like sandpaper, the room with a king size bed was very cramped, and the shower is big but only has half of a glass wall on it, and cold air comes in easily. Our bathroom door made a terrible screeching sound every time it opened, which woke everyone up at night anytime someone went to the bathroom. My friends stayed in a room with two queens and it was so much larger and had a table and chairs and tub with a shower curtain. If you need space definitely don’t stay in a room with one bed. I slept on the pull out couch which was very comfy, but there wasn’t a sheet in the linens bag and I was too exhausted the first night to ask for one from the front desk, so I slept right on the mattress pad cover which was uncomfortable and loud, and the comforter was scratchy too. The best part was the kitchen, and the TV was great too - it is a nice size and swings off the wall so you can watch in bed and on the couch. They had free coffee all day and a nice selection of snacks as well and a bar in the lobby, so those were some perks. Parking isn’t great (you have to park in a garage and pay $25 per night), but we parked across the street in a lot and just told them our make and model and that was fine. It is also walking distance from many things downtown, so the location is great. If you would prefer faster commute times to places downtown, this is definitely a great place, but if you prefer a comfortable hotel, I would stay...
