A L E R T Review your bill prior to adding an "additional" gratuity !!! A L E R T I would have given all 5 stars until we received the bill followed by the bill requiring a signature. The first check produced included a 20% gratuity. Tax was not included. See attached.
We understand, tourist areas, gratuities are hard to come by. We don't mind tipping. Annie's Thai Kitchen - please correct your system and when calculating "additional tips" on check requiring patron's signature. In my opinion, tipping should be done away with completely. Working in payroll support, I also know "tipped" employees are audited more often. I also know employees don't report their full cash tips (indirect tipping).
We walked to restaurant. We stopped in for a late lunch. Establishment is very clean. We were seated immediately. Water brought quickly. Hand held menus are very worn. Recommend using online menu, but be aware of difference in prices. Server took our order but never asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink. Looking at their prices, it's best to stay with water (free). Drinks are pricey at $4 (including iced tea). Lunch was expensive. We could've saved some $ by not ordering chicken...
Read moreTo be fair, the food was decent, service was acceptable, but at the end of the dinner they gave us two receipts to pay for our Table, and someone else’s table. They did not provide a void recent at first to show us they made a mistake my accidentally charging us for two tables of food. Instead they tried to trick us and make us pay for another table of food. I walked up and let them know a mistake had been the made, the staff was dismissive and rude. He had not even printed out a void recent for the incorrect bill he they gave us, which means that even if they knew about the mistake they wanted to try and see if we didn’t notice and pay. When I spoke to the staff he didn’t even apologize genuinely, took 5 more minutes to print out the void receipt, we of course paid for our meal and left. then the staff member follows us outside the restaurant and asks what our problem is and why we were upset instead of apologizing and trying to be friendly. I let him know I don’t like being swindled and these people will try and swindle you. Pay attention to your bill if you eat here. My opinion is don’t ever come here. No customer deserves to be lied to and attempted to be taken advantage of by a business. Not even mad right now, just dissapointed. I hope that employee who followed us outside and was threatening is fired. Don’t get here there’s plenty of other great...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and had a generally positive experience, though there were a few drawbacks worth noting. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival, which was great and helped set a welcoming tone. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere comfortable, making for a pleasant dining environment. We ordered Pad Thai noodles, red curry fried rice with tofu, and Tom Yum soup. The Tom Yum soup stood out because it arrived with rice, making it almost a complete meal. Its flavors were balanced, delivering a satisfying combination of spice and tang. The red curry fried rice with tofu was delicious as well. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the tofu was cooked perfectly, absorbing the essence of the curry. The Pad Thai noodles also met expectations with their fresh ingredients and well-balanced seasoning. While the taste and quality of all dishes were top-notch, the portion sizes felt a bit small, especially considering the price. Our total came to about $90 for three dishes, which struck me as quite expensive given what we were served. This affected my overall impression, as value for money is important to me. the high pricing with relatively modest portions means I’m likely to rate it 3...
