The Beach Club was unforgettable, just not in a good way. We were in town last night to celebrate my birthday. We usually go to one of the “fancier” restaurants in town, but we were more in the mood for something casual. Our first impression was that the outside was cute, and we were seated quickly, but then it went downhill from there. The waitress came and got our food and drink order quickly, which makes sense as we were the only people seated in the restaurant, aside from the bar area. My drink was delivered after about 10 minutes, but she didn’t bring the water that my husband ordered. We’re pretty patient and understanding, so it wasn’t a big deal. But then another 20-30 minutes go by, and we’re STILL waiting for the water, as well as our food. Mind you, it is still an empty restaurant, and our waitress has not checked in on us once. Our food comes, and my husband asks for the water he ordered. The waitress, without an apology or anything, goes and gets a carafe of water, that probably should have been at our table to begin with. Now the food.. my husband ordered the chicken bacon ranch flatbread pizza, and I ordered the chicken piccata. The pizza literally looked like it just had chopped up chicken tenders on top of it, with barely any cheese or ranch. It was very dry. For the chicken piccata, it usually comes with rice on the side, but at the time of ordering I asked if I possibly could substitute it for pasta (as there were other pasta items on the menu,) the waitress looked like I was speaking another language, asking, “What do you mean by pasta?” We eventually figured it out, but then when she brought our food out it was literally just plain pasta with grilled chicken slices on top, and a cup of the piccata “sauce” on the side because, “They didn’t know what to do with it.” She also didn’t bring a spoon or anything for me to put the sauce on, so I had to try to pour it out of the cup myself without making a mess. Everything about our food was below average. I tried to eat the pasta, but honestly the piccata sauce was so bland, it just felt like a waste of calories. My husband picked at his pizza because he was hungry and it was there, but in all honesty, we both agreed that our 3 year old child could have made a better meal for us at home. The bill came, $45 for the worst restaurant food and experience we have ever had. We could have complained and tried to get our food taken off of the bill, as my drink was the only thing we enjoyed and actually finished, but frankly, we figured it would take too long and we just wanted to get out of there. It’s definitely upsetting to receive such terrible food/service from a small, non-chain restaurant. We ate at our local Applebees the night before and had 10x better food and service. I was excited to try this place, hoping to find something in the middle of fast food and fancy dining, but next time, I think I would be much happier just bringing McDonald’s back to...

We decided to give this place a try after knowing about it for several years, hearing mostly good things about it, and reading a few of the reviews.

We’re not locals per se, but we do own a home in town, that we spend a few months out of the year at.

If you are a visitor in town that is used to eating at establishments in metropolitan areas, or the city, prepare to be underwhelmed, first by the “budget” hodgepodge decor, secondly by the horrible frozen fried “snack bar” food, and lastly by the mandatory gratuity and extra erroneous charges that are add to takeout orders.

We ordered two $16 burgers, and a $16 chicken strips.

The bill came to $60 and some change. Wanting to just get out of the place, I didn’t question or scrutinize the bill, paid the bill, added a cash tip, and headed home to unfortunately find that the food was absolute garbage. The kind of frozen fried garbage you would get at a snack bar for $5 bucks, I mean really terrible food for any cost, but a $60 meal for this food was beyond me.

On top of the terrible snack bar food, this place actually tacked on a mandatory 20% gratuity, and “takeout box” fees for a to-go order… we were in this place waiting for our to-go order for 15-20 minutes, no service beyond words, pleasantries and order taking, and we were forced to pay a ridiculous $10+ tip… I have no issues paying gratuity when it is warranted and deserved, and I even gave a cash tip for this to-go order, not realizing that I was already charged a mandatory 20% tip.

A little side note to the owners of this place: making patrons pay living wages to your employees says a lot about you…

I am shocked by the positive reviews for this establishment, how could so many people have such low standards for overpriced low quality food, thrown together budget decor, and ridiculous extra charges for take out orders.

This place should be a hard pass for anyone who cares to read this...

Just in town for a tournament, up late and ordered some wings from this place, I thought 4 wings for $5 was a bit much but they have a nice website menu they must be good, boy was I wrong. I ordered 2 orders of each kind. They asked if I wanted anything else....my second mistake was hearing the rest of the menu. I said sure I’ll have the nachos too. This was the worst order I think I’ve ever had. They just turned McDonald’s into a 5 star restaurant. The nachos were like a box of wet paper towels, my kid was trying to figure out if that was actually cheese or like what was it, just a soggy mess. Literally we don’t even know if it was just bad or terribly bad because nobody would eat it. There was also no sour cream or salsa which I had asked for. The wings were small, we tried to eat those but you needed to be like some kind of Raptor to get through them. It was like trying to chew through a rubber Gumby, like eating a bag of elastics. With 6 orders they sent us 2 things of ranch unless those were triple order cups maybe? Then they put a few carrots in, of coarse you would want your carrots just covered in bbq and honey garlic sauce. I called back to complain which to be honest I’ve never called back to a restaurant in oh say 46 years and I was born in 1973! The good part was they offered to refund the money. In my conversation I actually said “keep it I’d rather never walk into your restaurant again” The order for what it’s worth will give us something to laugh about for probably a long time and for sure will make me laugh twice a year when I’m up for these tournaments. I just looked into the box of nachos again before I posted this, cause I almost feel bad about it.... but lol whoever packed that box obviously doesn’t feel bad about anything. Those nachos would probably go mouldy...

Great service, Stephen was a great host and catered our food and drinks on point. The food was good and filling. Great 80s/90s playlist.

This is a new favorite place to visit, we googled it after driving by, the reviews were pretty good, well we are happy we gave it a go!! Definitely worth going too!! The bar is bright and decorated perfect for the beach, plenty of options for beverages. Happy hour has great prices, the shrimp cocktail was great, as well as the clam Chowder, it was very creamy with plenty of clams. French dip was very good, very melty Swiss cheese and loads of fries, done perfectly. Chicken wings are crispy and very tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Our 2 happy hour well drinks were only $3 a piece, shrimp cocktail was only $5. French dip was $14. The service was great, Rachael took great care of us. This place is a huge place, very nice decor and if you wanted to hold an event, great place with loads of room. Lots of parking too, only 500 or so feet off 101. There is an arcade room in the back, Ms. Pacman as well as several other games. Great place to hang out and listen to music or watch a game, lots of tvs. Fun atmosphere!
