On a hot day after the Midsummer Scream Convention, I was convinced to eat at this place through peer pressure. The inside looked like a bus station kiosk. The staff looked pressed and miserable. Nobody looked happy to be there. It was perhaps 2 degrees cooler than outside. Nothing like lukewarm death to stoke your appetite. I ordered the shrimp bowl for about three extra dollars than the standard $8+ bowl. I figured the quality would rise with the price. I was wrong. The rice was not fluffy, it was like confetti: dry and limp. This is a sin in Asian anything.. Forget "fusion" if you can't even get the Asian right. The shrimp might as well have been boiled with no seasoning. In fact, I'm convinced that's just how it was prepared. It went down like old chewing gum. No sign of the protein touching a grill by the taste. Might as well microwave it. My partner ordered the ribeye with vegetables. The ribeye was ok according to him, but the veggies were inedible. They were raw like in a salad. I tried them myself and spit it back out over the rice he didn't eat and brought it to the counter to complain. Insult to injury, they only offered to cook new vegetables. I simply let them, then threw out the food in contempt. Your meal wasn't satisfying, Sir. You offer a refund or a replacement. I spent $30+ and even pre-tipped. I'll NEVER eat at Waba Grill again based on...
Read moreI walked into Waba greeted by someone who seemed to have a lovely and bright personality, but when it came to ordering my food Rebekah took my order. I was very polite and used phrases such as please and thank you which were not reciprocated at all. She was very quick to take my order with no emotion or even a kind gesture like thank you, No smile nothing. It truly seemed like she hated her job, then she called out my order as my food was ready and i looked in my bag normally they’d put extra sauce but there was none so i kindly interrupted and asked her for some sauce. As she looked up at me to see what i may needed she seems very irritated, like why would i ask such thing. Also i got dumplings and it didn’t come with the sauce like it normally does but at this point i was already sitting down and i asked my partner to go and ask for the sauce because i felt so uncomfortable to even go and ask her. If she doesn’t like her job, find another one simple as that. It’s like she was mad she was getting paid to work….. very confusing with this new generation. The only plus was that the...
Read moreThe lady could have smiled a little bit who is serving us! My husband and I met after work at this place and the girl said she could only validate one of our tickets when we both check the tickets to her to validate for us from the parking structure. She said that she would go ahead and validate both the tickets, however, when it came time to put the ticket into the machine my husband got to pay $3 while I still had to pay $6 when we were both there arriving at the same time. We bought food together at this place yet she did not invalidate the tickets still! She had a long face and never smiled at us at all and my husband felt that she was racist for some reason! I don't understand why people don't know how to work in public if they cannot smile and greet you with kindness. Get some real people out there that know how to work and smile! I don't understand why companies have people working if they're not happy...
