VERY tiny Japanese inspired whiskey bar.

It's different that they give you a warm towel to clean your hands. I've experienced this at Japanese restaurants but first time at a bar.

Bar Jackalope only serve whiskey and have a huge selection! I got to try the Old Fashioned with Makers 42 and another one with Wild Turkey 101. I liked it as one had a spicy taste while the other had hints of butter. Aside from cocktails, they also offer whiskey flights but are pretty pricey. I hear it's $150+.

Space: Seat about 10 people inside and 4 on the outdoor patio. They share the patio with Seven Grand, it's just separated by a gate. They do not allow you to stand inside the bar. You must be seated at a table.

Pedro who was our server wasn't the friendliest and was being snooty. Definitely not a good impression especially when you're new to the hood. Btw, what's up with the 5 star reviews here?! People who are reviewing this place has very little reviews and some just one? Strange!

Easily one of my favorite speak easy in LA. It's hidden inside the Seven Grand. You would need to get reservations if you're planning to come here during the weekend. It can get pretty busy. But if you're free during the weekdays, getting in would be a lot easier. This place specifically does whisky. No cocktails of any. The bartenders inside are very knowledgable in their whisky and can help pick out one for you according to your taste. I was lucky to get in because of the gentlemen i was with knew the bartender that worked there. However, i have gone back several times, and they have seated me each time. I guess it's good luck.
