So normally when I come to Dublins, the food and service in on point. But my last experience was a disaster. I ordered the Pastrami sandwich with fries. The sandwich was overcooked and the fires were COLD! I was so shocked because the food is usually fresh and cooked to perfection. But I went there kinda early tho. I went around 6 and noticed the cook was a African American guy who looked inexperienced. Normally I go at night and it’s a Latin American cook who knows what he’s doing. So I guess I won’t be coming there early anymore. That Black cook needs to be FIRED. Don’t know his name but he’s HORRIBLE. And the service was bad too! The male bartenders there SUCK! They need to be fired. They have no people skills non whatsoever and you literally have to alert them to get a drink or place a food order. The ONLY bartender there who’s worth getting service from is EVE! If you go to Dublins and EVE is not there…LEAVE! You’ve been warned. The male bartenders are big, stupid Mexican dudes who don’t even know what customer service is. They might as well be security. Remember, don’t get food if the black cook is there and don’t get bar service unless EVE is there. You’ll thank me...
Read moreHistorical building, very dirty restroom. This Pub is conveniently located off the 7th street, opposite site of The Bloc. Parking is not easy to find, unless you walk around the streets to this location. It is in an very old, historical building, so you can see the unique ceiling, doors, and the feeling of going back of the time. I also like that it was kept dark inside, so I was able to escape from the hot afternoon sun and walking around for sightseeing. If you asked to use the restroom, then you will be very disappointed! It was in the basement and downstairs, to another building. It was very broken, out of the maintenance with the doors and mirrors...It is also very dirty in the hallway and restroom itself! The Pub itself is not very tidy and clean neither. I think that if people really love Whiskey, they will not have time to think about...
Read moreOnly gave it two stars because it has lots of tv’s. I work downtown and want to like this place so bad but the food is awful. Last time I went I got the fish and chips. Horribly dry, tough, obviously frozen. Fresh can’t be used in the same sentence. I think it might have been microwaved. The wedge fries were dry, bland, massive disappointment. Not sure why they would keep them on the menu. Everything looks like it is frozen. No where near traditional English/Irish pub fair. Get super wasted before you eat and you may like it.
My knife had a chunk of food on it almost as big as a dime when they handed it to me. I don’t think clean is a concern in this place.
Can’t say I won’t be back to watch a game and grab a beer because the vibe can be good but might have to leave to get food...
