I wish I could give this location no stars! Today I stopped at this location to get my kids a personal pan size pizza using a coupon that my 3 year old received from school. I walked in an asked Sergio the store manager if they excepted these coupons. The manager told me they do not, then said that I had to bring in my kid in order to retrieve the coupon. I told him that that wasn't possible but I still wanted to get a pizza. The manager ignored my request and then told me that the pizza didn't look real on the coupon and that it's probably fake. The manager said all of these things to me, back to back. Never once did he pick up the coupon to closely examine it before making judgments. I told him that, "the coupon wasn't that important to me", that "I just want to buy my kid a pizza but how can I do business with an establishment operated like this?" The manager" then proceeded to asked me aloud, "Who are you!?" I then said, "Well since you want to go there why don't you google me". Two middle school kids sitting at the table next to me asked for my name to search on their phones. Next thing you know, Sergio is yelling at me saying wow you're famous further embarrassing me, refusing me service and threatening to call the police. I told him, "I didn't do anything wrong or illegal for you to call the police and that I'm leaving anyway!" I left the restaurant shredding up the coupon in front of the manager and told him that I will be taken these matters to corporate.
I cannot believe that this happened but it totally doesn't surprise me in this time we live in. I felt so discriminated against. Sergio the manger made me feel like I didn't matter. Like I couldn’t afford to eat at Pizza Hut. Like I was some bum off the streets or some scam artist that didn’t deserve service. Never once was I wasn’t given a chance to place an order and the tone of our initial meeting was never welcoming. Most of all, I didn't get to bring a pizza home for my kids even though I was willing to pay for it.
My fiancé later called the same location to get an explanation but Sergio answered the phone lying saying the manager wasn't available so call back. Nick answered the second call and deeply apologized to my fiancé saying "The type of behavior performed by Sergio is not condoned by Pizza Hut and their employees". I totally agree with Nick and I hope he receives a promotion. Sergio the manger gets on the phone after Nick confirming the situation agreeing that he was wrong but he wouldn't make the situation right because he didn't like my response. He then proceeds hanging up the phone on my fiancé.
Sergio the manager at this establishment is a disgrace. He needs re-training, and a refresher on customer service. I would suggest fire him but I understand he needs a job. We have already contacted corporate and they have deeply apologized and I am awaiting the response of the manger at this locating before proceeding to take this matter of discrimination to the next level through corporate.
Every customer should feel welcomed and not lied to because of false assumptions. How do you spell assumption? A S S... yes so people should never make them because they make an A S S out of you and me!
I really hate that I had a bad day and I had to take time out of my day to address this horrible situation but enough is enough! I love and respect everyone no matter of color, race, sex, or religion. People should be judged by character not appearance or assumptions. Hopefully Sergio the manager at this establishment takes this as a learning lesson. Read moreI had the absolutely worse experience & received the most terrible customer service of my life at this absolute garbage of a restaurant. It was unbelievable what an unprofessional, untrained, heartless shift manager I had to deal with who ruined our night!
The only reason I even made the mistake to try this Pizza Hut instead of sticking to Dominos was because Tmobil Tuesdays gave us a good offer. So I made sure to call this location in advance to ask if their EBT machine was working properly before we ordered & the person I spoke with assured me it was working. So I put my order in online for a large pizza, mini cinnabons, chicken alfredo & bread sticks for pickup.
Once we arrived I was informed by the same person that the EBT machine was not working & that I needed to pay in cash. I explained to him that I didn't have the cash to cover our order & that was the reason I had called in advance & was assured by him that the EBT machine worked. Well he went through a series of lies, one after another, to try to excuse himself for his mistake & refused to work with me at all.
He had me crying because he kept telling me to go eat somewhere else even after I repeatedly explained that nothing else was open at that time of night & that we wasted so much gas getting there & we were so hungry! Yet he continued being super rude & disrespectful.
I asked to speak to his manager & he said that he was the shift manager & he didn't have his supervisor's number. He wouldn't give me his name either but, he was a very heavy set, Hispanic male, with black hair & brown eyes.
After arguing with him & crying my eyes out for an hour he finally let me just get my pizza from my order & gave me a small discount so I had to use my gas money to pay cash for it. We were so upset & humiliated! This was his fault & he should have comped my pizza at the very least. But he had no compassion or customer service skills at all to do the right thing.
He was extremely negligent of his inappropriate behavior & set a horrible example for the rest of the staff. He didn't seem to care that he's supposed to behave professionally as a supervisor, because apparently he's not held accountable for his disgraceful actions. Avoid this location, it's super ghetto. Read moreI have had great experiences with you guys until tonight…. i was just told on the phone by someone that they tried to contact me multiple times and knock on my door. There are cell phone calls not call box code calls… went to look in lobby and no sign of them…Not ONE call from the mailbox or footage from my security camera where you came to the door… I gave clear instructions and whoever I was speaking too who hung up on me multiple times while I was speaking to him instead of handling it by handing it to a manager… which if he is the manager is embarrassing… literally told me basically that I didn’t write the instructions clearly so it was my fault… it’s never been an issue before. I was told they cancelled my order instead of keeping it there. So, if I’m charged I will be calling back in hopes I won’t have the phone picked up and hung up on me again. Such a rude...
