It wasn’t until 7 years ago did I start getting 90 min massages. Before that, it was always 60 mins. A while back, I got to wondering what it’d be like to be simultaneously massaged by two people.

Found this spot in my research and called not thinking they could do a same day request. The guy on the other side said they could do 7pm on a Friday. A 3 hour notice was pretty impressive. I was so certain the earliest availability would be during the weekend.

I checked in on time. Got super lucky finding an open parking spot with no restrictions. They put me in a room with two beds. At first i was a little confused l, but it actually made more sense since the two people that worked on me had to move around so they needed more room. The other bed was pushed aside. J ended up in the middle of the room.

In hindsight, I should’ve just gotten the 90 min option. I only got the hour cos I figured two people were going to be working on me so it’s kinda like two massages at the same time. The female worked on my back after asking me if there were specific spots I wanted to focus on. She went to town working out the kink on my shoulder while the guy worked on my legs. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions. It was so confusing having two sets of hands on my person. I loved getting my back untightened. It however felt weird that while I’m enjoying the sensation of a deep massage my lower leg was tightening from the pressure. I kept reminding myself to relax. The lady checked in on me a few times. I feel like she was concerned of my prolonged exhales, but that really was just me attempting to relax my body. She had the best set of hands. The work she did on my hip area really made a difference. Two days later and I’m still able to pop them tight areas.

The post massage treat was a nice touch. You’re led to a corner area covered for privacy with a curtain where a plate of fruit was waiting for you along with a cup of hot tea and water. I sure did sit there and eat everything and finish the tea. I took the water to go.

For context, I recently moved to the Hollywood area and was looking for a decent neighborhood massage place. I am usually not picky and getting a massage is just my way to relax my muscles and mind. I got an appointment here with the male masseuse because I usually like stronger pressure to get out knots. Everything was so wrong. No music at all so I had to hear his awkward breathing and burping. Every 2 seconds (not exaggerating) there would be this loud clicking sound coming from him like someone clicking a pen in my ear. His massage technique seemed like he had observed a massage and tried to copy the process but was terrible. He went to all the right places in a normal sequence but what he did there was surface tapping and rubbing. Literally I left with more knots by being stressed the entire time. 10 minutes into the massage I knew he didnt have experience so I asked to leave and he said he was just warming up so I should stay. Bad decision. It was soooooo cold. He would use a hot towel but within seconds it felt like ice and then he would leave my hands or legs out of the blanket so my muscles got so tense.

Anyway, the business was very kind which is why I selected 4 stars. I didn’t have to say much or be upset for them to know the massage was not what I had signed up for. The receptionist gave me a $25 discount on $95 and then called again later to apologize and offer a free massage. We were in town for the weekend and we called and booked an appointment for 3 of us for the next day at 11am. When we arrived we quickly realized that we made the reservation for the Redondo Beach location. Kim quickly called over there to let them know the mistake and to see if they could take us at this location. They didn't have enough staff and said she could take 2 of us at 11:30 or we could come back at 4:30 for all 3. We said that was fine we will take the 11:30 but then she got on the phone again and called the other massage therapist and asked her if she could come in at noon instead of 2pm. She said yes and got us all 3 in at noon and suggested a coffee shop across the street if we wanted to wait the hour before our appointment which we did. We came back at noon and was shown to our rooms and Kim asked what kind of massage/pressure we liked and she matched us each up with the massage therapist. She did a wonderful job as my massage was the best I've ever had. The massage therapist was amazing!!! My friends said the same thing about theirs as well.
