Came for the views, left feeling very frustrated and upset as a customer!
I came here with my group of girls for my friend's bachelorette trip. We got ready and came on time for our reservation at 6:45. We were told our table was not fully ready yet so we waited while taking pictures at this beautiful place. However, even after 20 minutes, we were still not getting called so I went up and asked. Still said our table was not ready. Then about 30 minutes in I go up again and they say our table is ready now. Not sure why they didn't call us right away when it was ready? But it is also ridiculous that we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time to get to our table.
Once again, this place is BEAUTIFUL. It was amazing just being able to sit here and enjoy the vibes. We ordered and surprisingly our food came out so fast so we were glad (as we were running out of the free bread).
Food was alright, nothing amazing, definitely overpriced for their value and taste. There's nothing that was like, wow this is good! But like they were decent.
This is where things went downhill. We saw tables around us getting this dessert with cotton candy, so we decided to order that one (mille feuille) and the tiramisu. It took a bit for our desserts to come out, but we watched our server make our tiramisu right in front of us and he brought out this other dessert with a candle and chocolate that said congratulations. It wasn't the cotton candy dessert we ordered, but we figured they knew it was for the bach since my friend was dressed in all white and wore her "Bride To Be" accessories.
We are eating the dessert and it seems like our mille feuille is taking awhile, so we ask our server and he says we ordered the key lime/passionfruit cake. We're like.. no, all 5 of us heard us ordering and that is the one dessert we really wanted so we are pretty sure we ordered the right thing. He says no, and then walks away.
We are upset so we ask for the bill, which takes more than 15 minutes and 3 asks to get. He kept attending to other tables and taking awhile at the bar area, waiting for the drinks to be ready for the other tables. When we check the bill, our mille feuille is there!! There is NO order of the key lime dessert. So I call him right away and point it out, which he sees and says that the dessert we ate is more expensive, so we should just pay. I remember seeing the menu and this was the cheapest dessert, and the mille feuille is MORE expensive, so I go no. Please go check the menu or fix this? I ask if we can get it as complimentary since it's not what we ordered and we came for a good time, but they messed up. He says he will talk to the manager, and I see him running around to talk to the manager and then he comes back saying that we will have to pay for the key lime because WE ATE IT.
WE ATE IT because we thought it was a nice gesture from a high end restaurant for my friend's bachelorette?! They lit up a candle and even said congratulations on it. How can this be the wrong dessert??
Ridiculous. So we pay and after we get our card back is when he apologizes. He never apologized for the wrong order before we paid and I thought that was just upsetting as well. If he apologized for his mistake in the beginning then we would not have been this upset. It's the fact that he was gaslighting us to think that we ordered the wrong dessert and tried to make us just pay for it, lying that it was more expensive than what we originally ordered!
We left feeling VERY upset and angry.

Read moreI made a reservation for four. We were guaranteed 1:45pm. We arrived at 1:40pm only to be told to wait or buy drinks at the bar until our table was ready. I bought two drinks for $22.00 each plus a service fee and tip. Waiting to be seated resulted in an almost approximate 1 hour wait beyond the reservation.
When seated, we were taken to an enclosed dining room without scenery, opposing our desired patio and poolside request. When we shared our displeasure, we were told to wait again and there were no seats available in our desired area.
We decided to wait, but while waiting , we observed 5 later reservation parties be escorted to the area we were told was at capacity. Several had the same number of guests in their party. When asking the hostesses how that was possible, they shunned our concerns. I will not expound upon the observed differences. Use Discernment.
I then called the reservation line and was told she couldn't help us, to find the manager. I did identify the manager who was very nonchalant, stating, " Maybe they reserved before you...". I assured the one family did not for I heard the Italian father express his dislike of the same dining area and was told, "Give us a few seconds to change it.". They in fact sat them within minutes, again in the area we asked for.
I addressed the manager once again and told him, their lack of concern for the overbooking, delay in seating, and inconsiderate responses was humiliating. I also told him he never knows who he is addressing." We finally acquired seating in the area that was, "unavailable".
We were so insulted and upset, our experience was diminished. Had it not been for my friend who had obsessed over the Versace experience, we would have left, not spending over $350.00, especially to a company that isn't sensitive to diversity.
The drinks were very well made and although the food portions were very small, they were well made.
I was disappointed in the lack of organization of the establishment, proving they are more concerned with profits than people. It was indeed very commercialized and chaotic.
Maybe I am used to quality and professional service, but it was an inexcusable experience.
I'm more frustrated that no one cared and they probably will not be enhanced. What's most challenging is that my affiliations with the influential can birth a social media storm that will greatly impact the Gianni restaurant's reputation and future. Do I share my experience with them or not?
I believe that because of my true intentions and their disregard for our presence will cost them more. One day, they too may remember that everyone is someone and is deserving of respect.
Should you frequent? It all depends on your self worth. However, just consider that No one cares until it...

We came to the Versace Mansion with high hopes to celebrate two very special milestones: my birthday and my nephew’s graduation. What we expected to be a luxurious and memorable lunch turned out to be a complete disaster from beginning to end.
Our reservation was for 3:30 PM, and we arrived early at 3:15 PM, only to find that no one was at the valet stand. We stood in the rain for over 10 minutes, calling the restaurant for assistance. Their response? “The valet is a third-party service,” as if that absolves them of responsibility. For a supposedly “elevated” establishment, this was an unacceptable first impression.
When we finally made it inside, we were rushed to sit down immediately because the kitchen was “about to close.” This begs the question: Why are they accepting 3:30 PM reservations if they don’t intend to honor them properly? The entire lunch felt like we were being hurried out the door rather than welcomed to celebrate a special occasion.
While our server was polite and did his best under pressure, it was clear that he, too, was being forced to rush. My sister ordered a well-done steak, which came out medium. When we brought it to their attention, we were told there was nothing they could do because the kitchen had already closed. Instead, they offered to discount the meal. But we weren’t there for a discount—we were there to enjoy a meaningful celebration, which was now completely ruined.
And then came the worst part of the experience: the manager, Max. His attitude was arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. Rather than listening or offering a sincere apology, he argued with us and kept repeating, “That’s why we gave you a discount,” as if that magically fixed everything. He couldn’t have made it clearer that he did not care one bit about our experience.
What was supposed to be a joyful, elegant celebration turned into a stressful, disappointing, and frankly infuriating afternoon. There was no hospitality, no accountability, and no sense of customer care. It felt like we were just another table to push through before closing—not valued guests celebrating important life moments.
I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially not for a special occasion. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic service standards at the Versace Mansion is absolutely appalling. Save yourself the heartbreak and take your...
