If I could give zero stars I would. First clue to not go there should've been when we walked in and the hostess was standing there with her phone in hand & bright white headphone wires going into her ear. Didn't take them out to talk to you, sat and listened to her phone the whole time she walked you to your table. The waitress was the most unfriendly human I think I've probably ever met, her name was Maritza. Didn't ever ask if we wanted drinks, just gave us all waters & went on with her merry way. Finally got her to take our order, to which she went and helped 5+ other tables before ever taking our order back to be worked on. While food was being made she didn't come around a single time to our table. After waiting 40+ minutes we asked if the food was getting close or to cancel it, we ordered French toast, a RARE steak, and a trio appetizer which was chicken tenders, chips & spinach artichoke dip, and a quesadilla. None of which are hard orders. Finally the food came out, the steak that was supposed to be rare was so overcooked it was almost white in appearance, the dip was cold, chips were all CRUMBS, and the chicken tenders inedible. She never came back to ask how our food was, she gave us our check & asked if we wanted boxes because there was so much food left on our plates, to which we gave an ASTOUNDING and overwhelming NO because it was so awful why would we want to take it home. If she had even an ounce of customer service she would've asked if everything was okay, offered a discount, literally anything. But she just took our money and went on her way. Paying $30 for a 1/2in overcooked as overcooked can be steak, $18 for a pile of chip crumbs & cold dip, etc. is beyond ridiculous. I do not recommend Mimi's to literally anyone, hands down the worst overall restaurant experience I've ever had anywhere.

I've been to this Mimi's and had generally had fair to good experiences, but I wanted to review my Thanksgiving dine in experience because as I was searching for places serving that day, I found there wasn't a lot of information to be had on many of them. Of course, compared to some of the grand buffets listed in the newspaper, this was priced much more within my budget and offered a 3-course meal. The first course was one of their soups or basic salads. We both had the garden salad. High marks as far as a dinner salad goes, their blue cheese dressing was delicious. They also brought out a few small slices of baguette. For the main course you could choose white meat, dark meat, or a mix of both. It also included stuffing, sweet potato mash, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce. This course was a huge disappointment. The meat was more like the pressed meat you buy in the Hormel microwave meals at the grocery store than the roast turkey one would expect. I don't eat green bean casserole (mushroom allergy) and theirs was so liquid it ran into everything else. The mashed potatoes and mashed (two mashed items on one plate?) sweet potatoes were both just mediocre. For dessert you got a choice again, we got the pumpkin pie and the pecan pie. The pumpkin pie had a bit too much ginger/clove for me, but was presented well and decent overall. The pecan pie was decent. Having reservations helped us not have to wait too long (20 minutes) and they had a fall sangria that was pretty fun and tasty. I'll post pictures...hopefully they can inform your decision for the special occasion.

This particular Mimis is ok i wouldnt personally jump up and celebrate anything here.. the coffee is served luke warm at best after i brought it up to the waitress it did get better though.. i ordered the Mushroom Bacon Brie omlet with real eggs and had them add an extra egg (at 2 dollars per extra egg i wouldnt do it again) my girlfriend ordered the Bacon Ham and Sausage omlet.. when our food came out it looked absolutely wonderful and was plated beautifully however that mindset was changed quickly when i tried one of the potatoes which was COLD and soggy especially for what is supposed to be fried potatoes, i was turned off by them immediately.. however the omlet was nice and warm and was pretty good. I did let our waitress know about the potatoes and she did offer to get me some fresh ones however i respectfully declined. my girlfriend enjoyed her omlet however her potatoes were cold as well however she did eat hers. The waitress (Shauna) was wonderful she was as attentive as she could be pleasant to talk to and was knowledgeable of the menu.. the atmosphere is pleasant and the music is loud enough to hear but not too loud that it impedes conversation however this restraunt does charge for EVERYTHING and they dont substitute much of anything for people with eating restrictions like diabetics like myself so in conclusion waitress was good food was not impressive prices are high for what you get.. I will likely go to IHOP (in the same parking lot) for now on for my breakfast ventures.

Buckle up because I have a lot to say.

We showed up early for our 6:30 reservation, and were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. (Those without reservations were told it would be about 30 minutes.) After 35 minutes, we finally asked how much longer, and were told we were next. (Yeah, like I believed that. I think we were skipped or forgotten.)

At 7:10 we were finally seated - right outside the kitchen. We were offered water, and told our server was “right here”. But our server didn’t come until 7:21. At that time, we ordered appetizers, entrees and desserts. Our appetizers were served 31 minutes later at 7:52, with our server asking if we ordered them. Incidentally, the tomato/basil soup tasted like jarred spaghetti sauce.

Our entrees were served at 7:58. The food is subpar at best for this price point, and obviously is not prepared on site. Unfortunately, the cooks here don’t seem to know that braised meats shouldn’t be served refrigerator-cold. And we were told the side for one order would be beans, but came with broccoli. And the potatoes au gratin had no flavor at all.

At 8:14, our server asked us if we were doing desserts, explaining that if she didn’t ask, she’d have to find our ticket. Our desserts were served at 8:25, and were the best part of the meal.

We got our check at 8:36, and it had a bogus charge on it. (And just FYI: one chocolate-covered strawberry isn’t worth $3.50.)

Throughout, there was never any apology for the outrageously slow service, no thanks for coming; our server never once asked if we’d like anything else, or checked to see if our experience was okay. Literally nothing. And we had to use the same utensils for all three courses. Just an overall terrible experience.

If our server wondered why the tip was so low, she can read...

In the past, I've always enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe as well as the food. Since the restaurant has opened seating again, limited capicty has been a real challenge. That being said, we shouldn't be waiting an hour to be seated (party of 4) when we were told the wait was only 10 minutes. I get that wait times can very, but this was a bit extreme. The problem lies with limited labor. Hosts and hostesses were nowhere to be found and there was no way to communicate. As we were about to leave, the host called our names to be seated. We placed our orders pretty quickly as we had had ample time to decide what we wanted. I'd say our orders were placed within five minutes of being seated, however, it took another hour to get our food. I ordered the french dip and a bowl of French onion soup. My companions ordered similar meals. Nothing too extravagant or time consuming ... Just soups and sandwiches. The soup had clearly been sitting out for a while as it was cold when it was served with my main course. The french dip was also cold and the bread had been over toasted so it was pretty hard. The server only checked on us once and we weren't offered refills on our drinks. Overall it was a huge waste of time and a big disappointment for the money we paid (50.00). I probably won't be going back in the near future. Service and quality have really tanked and we left pretty irritated and still hungry. I had to give a star rating because google requires at least one star. If it were up to me, I wouldn't rate them at all. You can make a quality meal at home in less than half the time and take a nap...
