The service was great, the ice cream was great, the prices are too high at about $5 for a single scoop, even for Myrtle Beach, stick 'um up! That's more than the price of a half gallon of premium ice cream at any store. For just over $6 you can opt to badly overindulge and get 3 scoops for a bit more value. However, in so doing is that double edge sword and road to the fat farm 😂 Or maybe can do a 3 way with your friends if on a budget. We were there mid week around 8pm and the place was steady busy. Just goes to show how much people will allow to be taken advantage of for some ice cream 😂 Still and all, I don't find it particularly appropriate or appealing that so many businesses are still jacking customers due to covid and a poorly run liberal economy and government. We are all struggling, so time to put on your business big boy pants and roll up your sleeves like the rest of us. At least met us half way and skim a tad from those hearty profits. Likely will not return here due to the prices, even though the local chain shops charge even more. There's plenty of great ice cream around to be had without all the price gouging! The environment has a mix of nostalgia with modern ice cream parlor appeal. The available tables were all dirty however, we had to clean...
Read moreWe’re in Myrtle Beach on vacation and wanted a sweet treat. We found Kirk’s though a Google Maps search. When we arrived at around 9pm, it was very busy, about 50 people in line in front of us so we were hesitant, but decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we did. The staff was so quick and efficient that it was only about a 10 minute wait. When it was our turn to order, this very nice young lady took care of us. I wish I wouldn’t got her name cause she was great. My son (probably flirting…lol) asked her how she liked working in an ice cream shop, and she replied “I really like it. My Dad worked here when he was my age.” We chatted about that and she asked where we were from as she made our order. She was very personable and nice. When we paid, they also gave me a military discount because I’m retired Air Force. We loved this place. The decor is definitely retro. It looks like it’s been around a long time…not run down at all. It looks frozen in time. Very clean, great service, and the ice cream was AMAZING!!! It was about $20 for three of us to all get double scoops, so reasonably priced, especially for a tourist town. We loved this place. Definitely try it if you’re in...

Now … I’m not saying this place is bad as my family ate..my daughter had chocolate peanut butter.. loved it.. but she had nuts all on the bottom.. son a banana split loved it! I’m posting as a warning.. this place got great reviews..4.7! Because of that they get slammed..but being busy can’t take away from paying attention .. mistakes like this could really harm someone..as I carry an EPI pen.. If you have an allergy. Please Be warned. Mistakes happen..I get it.. I gave two star because two out of our four that should have had no nuts .. had them.. one sundae completely wrong.. and they were informed. I warn because this is not for people w allergies.. too many nut items..they have to rush.. do to so many costumers .. for those without nut allergies you will enjoy!! Cute...
